Ready to go right out of the box. No assembly, and no metal parts that can rust or break. Also easy to use, just roll. Appreciate the slide door as you can adjust the opening.
it's a reasonable solid compost tumbler, and based on the research I've done, it's the best deal available. It's basically just a plastic drum with a slide off door, that spins on a concave base. Super simple, and my only complaint is that it costs $100 instead of $20-30. However, since compost tumblers seem to be wildly overpriced across the board, this passes for an OK deal.
I have had my composter a week and it is winter in northern Michigan so I can not comment on results. Delivery was quick and packaged well. I have it half full, it turns easily, I am 75. Nothing to assemble. Looking forward to warmer weather with results.
Really nice composter and great value for the money. No assembly required. Very easy to turn, even when it was almost full . Would highly recommend this composter.
Wonderful product, made in Canada instead of China, and easy to use, thou you have to physically move the barrel rather than use a crank. Waiting for it to produce some humus!
Got this about a year ago...Weathers the weather will and being in a very "destructive environment, other composting and mulching, hit it a few times with vehicles. It was fine with Aerobic composting, a bit slow (no way for worms or non-flying bugs to get in) but where it took off was Anerobic composting...this is the swamp style, only microbes style, stinks to high heck and back but yer Hulk style..It stinks but was amazed how fast those microbs tore apart corn stalk, even wood chips. Secret for me, 1 quart of used fryer oil (thats the worst for Aerobic) then adding water till it comes out the tiny holes in the side. Again IT WILL STINK, so make sure its the furthest from yer house and ya wear a face cloth...wonder if anyone has those these days... but if ya go the oil path you can reduce hard woody compost to sludge in just weeks... You then toss onto your normal compost to convert to Aerobic and have compost richer than Blumberg! This post was for full run composters. For newer folks.. Pallet Compost...those groves ya see in the photo...a shovel will hit those on the inside, a real pain. The Company is good, keep in that but see if they have a smooth bore version, this more for the multi composter.
No assembly required, fast delivery looks like it is well made.
When this tumbler is over half full it becomes difficult to rotate. I am 6'3" 285 lb ex-wrestler and I have to put all my weight into the tumbler to rotate it when 3/4 full.
It is difficult to turn as base does not have wheels.
Best part is no assembly. Turning it isn't as easy as I thought it would be. It gets off track and is aggravating. I was very excited to get this composter..seemed like it would be easy. Oh well..still waiting on the black gold to appear.
