I got the 2 pack as a flash deal. I wish I'd bought 2 more. 1 storm filled both barrels when placed by downspouts. I placed them on cinder block bases to make it easier to empty in winter. Easy to assemble %26 easy to fill my watering can to water my flowers %26 raised bed of strawberries.
The rain barrels are made of quality maerial, and I'm pleased and happy to have them. I recommend them. The screen on top filters debri from the gutter down spout, and keeps mosquitoes out. The water hose has an on/off knob that kis very convenient.
This rain barrel is perfect for my needs. I have it outside my greenhouse. It is so easy to use, and convenient. It looks good in my yard. This one is very sturdy. I had issues many times with my previous soft sided one. I look forward to years of use with this one. I like it's large size and large area for the rain to enter. The hose does not stay where it is supposed to when not being used, so I placed a hook to hang it from. Works perfect. The flow from the hose is also nice, filling my watering can quickly which saves time. I am very happy with my purchase. I have not yet seen the drain part work, but I am sure it will work as it is supposed to. Assembly was easy and only took a few minutes.
Not only are these barrels really sturdy and well built, they come with the hoses ( even an end part with shut off valve). I like that the back is flat as well. And that they can be connected to the next one. The first one I bought filled up during the first rain storm, that's when I quickly ordered another. This water will be used for my small gardens next to them. Perfect set up! Would definitely recommend. In fact I already have to friends
Easy to assemble and setup next to downspout. Sizing up downspout was more work than setting up barrel. Be sure to get a stepping stone or other flat level surface to stand barrel on if placing in grass or dirt ground cover.
This is the second one purchased. I like the wide open area to collect rain on top, can collect from a spout placed on top or from the sky. Nice wide dirty bottom, not worried about tipping over. drainage valve has worked well. Clip that holds valve comes out easy when I'm clipping, but can easily hold in place with your other hand or put back in easily. parts needing assembly are easy and few. Have not connected one barrel to another but, looks easy enough with available ports, would just need to make the holes. Easy to use and looks good in the yard. Have one hooked up to the drain from the house and one sitting in the garden. Price not bad when comparing to others.
A well made worthwhile barrel that does what it says. For us, the feature of hooking up our hose and using a slow release of water made a great irrigation system. It's a well thought out design that works efficiently. We set it up 8" off the ground and it fits nice and tight fit up to our home.
Delivery and assembly were very easy. The only foreseeable concern is the clip that holds hose is very flimsy and in my opinion will not hold up well in the outdoors. If it should crack not sure if a replacement is available.
I bought this barrel to divert rain water from the foundation where a roof corner gathers a large amount of runoff. It is well built, sturdy and has great potential ...BUT the ground level drain is undersized and routinely becomes blocked by random organic bits that get through the top screen. I will have to figure out how to enlarge the very small opening on the interior side of the barrel. Any suggestions from the manufacturer would be appreciated.
I've purchased several rain barrels of different brands this summer, this one by far is the least desirable in quality, appearance, and assembly.
