I love this product! I recently went hiking and this felt so soothing on my skin. I love all of the added vitamins and the odor control. This product was truly a life saver for my skin. I felt so confident and comfortable on my hike! Lots of product for the price. Easy to apply on your skin. Kind of a stronger smell but it's nothing crazy!
The FDS Anti-Chafing Ointment is a big help with my upper thigh “chub rub." I've tried everything, and this ointment is my winner. It goes on nice and smooth and gives me a protective coating without feeling too thick or sticky. I apply it on my inner thighs mostly, but sometimes under my bra line, and even on my feet occasionally. I don't need to reapply because it lasts all day for me. It's preventive, so I use it before any discomfort starts. It has a light scent and is a good-sized tube that lasts pretty long if you don't use too much. If you deal with chafing, I think it will be perfect for you too.
I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. I love the relief I've been getting with this FDS Anti-Chaffing Ointment. I'm an avid cycler and runner, so i occasionally get inner thigh chaffing. I apply a thin layer of this ointment and it provides me with long lasting relief, while also helping my skin heal. I also love that its aluminum free, and its gentle enough for my sensitive skin. The only issue I had is with the scent, because its a bit strong and I get worried that other people could smell it on me. If the scent was more mild, I think it would be the perfect product.
I recently used the FDS Anti-Chafing Ointment during a beach vacation. I've used anti-chaffing gels in the past—especially when wearing dresses—so I had high expectations going in. Right away, I noticed the texture: this ointment is much thicker than what I'm used to, and it took a bit of effort to squeeze it out of the tube. Unlike the lighter gels I usually reach for, this has a heavier consistency and a slightly tacky feel upon application. It also has a noticeable medicinal scent. Because of the consistency of the ointment, i would be concerned about getting it on my clothing. In terms of performance, it worked fine and did the job of preventing chafing on my inner thighs. However, the texture and scent just weren't for me. I personally prefer the feel and ease of application of a gel over an ointment. That said, if you don't mind a thicker product, this could still be a good option.
This product does work well. It makes an excellent barrier cream and protects against chafing. The consistency is very thick. I wish it were a tad bit more silky or powdery in the finish as this feels a bit sticky. It's very difficult to squeeze from the tube due to the thick and sticky texture. It smells like lanolin which is very natural but a very strong smell.
The packaging is plain, and the product does need to be reapplied from time to time, but it does the job well and is a great option for vacations that require a lot of walking!
I was using the anti-chaffing ointment throughout my period because chafing usually happens this time when I'm wearing pads. I don't use tampon so pads is the only thing I use. I use the wing pad to avoid the pad moving when I walking but the issues with wings is that it irritates my skins due to rubbing and chafing. After using the anti-chafing ointment it doesn't help much in relieving it so I don't think it helps at all for my situation. The cream itself is really thick and has a medicinal smells.
Unfortunately, this wasn't quite what I was expecting. I was thinking it would be something smooth and slippery. Instead it is basically lanolin that is more sticky than anything. It also has a really bad smell, something like horse manure.
I thought this was going to be one of the chafing gels that have the benefits of a lotion and a gel-powder all in one without being greasy. The FDS chafing ointment is just that - an ointment. The active ingredients are identical to an OTC A+D Ointment (which is listed on the front of FDS packaging as well). I understand that Petrolatum is considered a skin protectant but the thick greasy ointment isn't my preferred way to prevent my chafing and makes it difficult to apply when wearing clothes over. I would not purchase in the future.
I recieved this whole body anti-chafing cream for free in exchange for my honest review from home tester club. I have tried a lot of anti-chafe creams and sticks and personally i think that the sticks just work better this gets all over your hands and doesn't apply easily. It works well but i prefer something thats got a cleaner application.
