Only time will tell if the cover holds up. Thickness is good for home use for a child.

It was thin material on the mat for active kids. I was scared it wouldn't last long and it would be $100 wasted. I returned the mat and purchased a better quality gymnastic mat.

If the car handle is important to, you, don't buy!
Part of the reason I bought this mat what's for the carry handle. The first one came in in one of the car handles was completely frayed. So I returned it and ordered another and had the same problem. Then went to my daughter‘s gymnastics teacher and showed her a picture and said is this normal and she said absolutely not and she's the one who recommended that I get the Walmart Mat so while I want to give this Mat a five out of five the fact that they're sending out defective products. Really stinks.
