I've used this product in my cylinder bird feeders for several years, and it really does work. It helps keep down moisture to keep the seed fresh longer, but you have to be smart and practical with its use. Read the directions carefully, and understand that this is NOT for keeping your bird seed fresh during rain, drizzle, heavy fog, or anything that puts a lot of water and moisture in the air. This includes living in a humid climate. After it rains, all bird seed should be discarded and fresh out into a clean feeder. Same as always. This Feeder Fresh doesn't take place of making sure seed and feeders are fresh. Also, don't put a lot of this stuff in the feeder or it will keep the seed from flowing, and all that will be in the bottom port is feeder fresh. Only a THIN sprinkling at the bottom, and a thin sprinkling at the top.

Great stuff! Kind of spendy but it def does the trick to keep those bird feeders from getting all gunked up %26 clogged with wet bird food. Sprinkle about an inch in the bottom of your clean bird feeder %26 then another inch on the top- birds need this substance as it is gritty %26 not harmful to them!

It seems to make the Nyjer seed more appealing and fresh tasting for the birds at my Finch feeder.
