I have mixed feelings about these bulbs, because two are excellent and the other two defective. The long and short of it is that the company stands by its product and has agreed to replace the defective bulbs for free. Feit deserves a 5 for that. I'd also rate the two good bulbs a 5, although as I have had them for under a week, I can't comment on longevity. But 2 defective bulbs in a 4-pack probably rates a 2. Walmart gets a 5 for care in shipping. (For details see below.) I purchased this 4-pack of 3000k (kelvin) LED Feit bulbs, because they are brighter than the ordinary LED equivalent of 60 watt bulbs—usually 2700k. 3000k bulbs produce whiter, less yellow light. The Color Rendering Index, or CRI = 90, which is good, because under these lights, colors appear closer to what you'd see in sunlight. I'm an artist and I paint partly in artificial light, so realistic color is important. It's also nicer for mood and overall aesthetics. Sooo, that was my reason for paying a bit more for these bulbs. Shipping was FAST—next day. To my surprise, they weren't smashed to bits in transit, even though they shipped with a heavy item. Walmart packed this shipment well. I am very pleased by that. I immediately tried all the bulbs, which I advise others to do. Two were great—exactly what I was hoping for in a 3000k light. Pleasingly bright, but not cold in tone, like the so-called “daylight” 5000k bulbs that produce—to my eye—unattractive, glaringly bright bluish light. The two good bulbs in this package illuminate everything far better than my previous 2700k bulbs. Usually I turn on two lamps in the room these are in. Now I only have to turn on one of the lamps unless I'm painting. Unfortunately, two of the bulbs were defective right out of the box. They produced the usual yellowish light and even weighed an ounce less each than the good bulbs. They had a slightly dingy base which made me wonder if they were used. Feit guarantees these bulbs to be free of defect, so I immediately emailed the company and asked for replacements. The company rep I communicated with was friendly and conciliatory. After asking me some simple questions about my light fixture, duration of lightbulb use, date %26 place of purchase, and so forth, the company agreed to replace my defective bulbs free of charge. Another customer complained that Feit asks too many questions when the customer wants a replacement, but I don't see it that way. To me, their questions suggest they are trying to find out why some of their bulbs failed so that they can improve their product or at least let potential customers know what kinda of fixtures won't work with the bulbs. Bottom line: I recommend this product, but only because Feit stands by it. If that were not the case, I would have rated them much lower and would never buy them again. Hopefully this was one-off, and Feit's guarantee makes me feel secure about purchasing them again.

This is still yellow tinted, and not as bright as it should be, but it works.
