I've been using these pellets for months. One of the best things about them is no tracing and low dust.,and if you sift the litter box once a day and add a scope or more back to litter box you can easily only go through one 20lb bag a month depending on how many cats you have. I have 3 so I usually buy two 20lb bags. But hey for the price you pay for 2 bags that's way under what you would pay for other litter.
I didn't realize how good this litter was at reducing odors until I couldn't find it and bought a litter that looked identical but was made with newspaper instead of pine. I thought it would be the same, but the odor was awful. I like this over traditional litter because there is no dust and it's natural.
This is by far The Best litter we have used! At any given time we have had from 3/10 cats and using 7 litter boxes. We have tried every single kind of litter with all the different style boxes. My opinion is this litter with the 3 piece sifting litter box maximizes the bag and wastes nothing!!! This litter doesn’t smell. Made in the USA, bonus is it’s sustainable and the bag is recyclable at the store drop off plastic box!! A True Trifecta of Litter!!!
I love this litter! I switched from scented clumping clay litter. I love this stuff! It's easy to clean with a sifting pan and it smells like plain wood. I was worried about the smell when they have bowel movements but it dehydrates the feces so theres little to no smell. It is a little "dusty" but we'll live. There's a prop 50 warning on it which is concerning but I think this is way better than any other alternative. Would recommend
I have been using Feline Pine for many years and will never change back to any other litter. My cat is VERY fluffy and has long fur on the bottom of her paws. She was tracking other litter around, so after an online search I decided to try Feline Pine. Switching over was kind of a pain, but once she was on the Feline Pine everything was so easy! We use a sifting litter box with the sifting pan on top. Then we just scoop out the poop, shake down the "sawdust" while lifting the sifting pan slightly (so all sawdust drops down into the solid pan). There is absolutely no smell, and no tracking of kitty litter.
Ever since one of my cats died a painful death from licking clumping litter from its paws, I have used litter that does not include sodium bentonite. Litter from ground corn cobs spreads all over the house and it is contains perfumes to mask the odor. Litter made from recycled newspaper makes better bedding than litter. This litter does not cling to paws. The cats like using this litter. This litter is less expensive than its competitors.
I’ve been through a lot of cat litters over 30 years and this one is by far the best. It does not even smell after 10 days. It lasts me almost a month if not more then my cat urinate in it. It turns to sawdust but dries out very quickly, and it does not have any urine odor after about a week. I take a sifting spoon and sift out all of the big greens and throw away the dust this last time. I’ve just left the dust in there just to see if it would smell and it does not so I think I’m just going to scoop out solid waste and leave the sawdust and when all the pellets are gone, I will toss it unless it smells, which I don’t think it will. This is the best value for the money.
A little different method than other kitty litters but pine pellets are great. Hardly any tracking, no smell, (seriously, just smells slightly of pine), super easy to clean up. I have been using non-clay litters for a long time but I had a problem with rodents getting into corn and wheat based litters so I looked for alternatives. The pine pellets are organic, renewable, compostable, and they smell good. I use a sifting litter box and a pair of tongs with the pine pellet litter. Remove the solids daily with tongs, give the box a stir so the sawdust can move through the holes in the sifting pan. Once or twice a week I remove the sawdust from the bottom pan. Hardly ever clumps or sticks to plastic or metal pan.
there is a slight pine scent. people who come to my house dont know i have 3 cats, they say. i also like that it is biodegradable and will not sit in landfills for a decade. i only have to sift solid matter. when pellets are turned to sawdust i dump it and refill. no scaping hard litter from bottom of pan. cleaner.
It works great for our two cat, two box household. We tried it out to compare the ease of use to the arm and hammer clumping slide litter, that one still stuck to the litter box a little, and got very heavy very quickly which makes the job so much bigger than it needs to be. The biggest difference is the weight! It's so much lighter than clay when it's wet, which makes it so much easier to use! It's easier to find and scoop %232, doesn't stick to the litter box, doesn't get kicked out of the box as much, and urine just turns the pellets into fluffy sawdust, give it a sifty shake to help it last longer, no scooping the heavy pee clumps, just dump it out when there's no dry pellets left. There's also no urine or poop smell at all, just a "home depot" pine scent when opening a fresh bag. I had to buy a different scooper, but I would still recommend this for anyone with wrist pain, laziness, dislike of mess, or sensitivity to dust.
