Fellowes 10-Sheet Micro-Cut Microshred Shredder 4921002

I searched for a decent shredder for an HR office and this one came highly recommended. I also searched for the best pricing and found it at Walmart! Pleased with the item thus far.

Shredder works great paper clips and credit cards are no problem.

The shredder is very quiet. I sure enjoy the small confetti cuts that it makes. I'm sure this will last me for many years to come. Made well.

Works just as good as the one we had for 7 years.

This is the third Fellows shredder we have owned. All three have performed very well during years of use. We especially like the Microshred features on the 60MC model. It is the first microshred model we have had and we feel that it does an excellent job of cutting through the papers and producing small, unrecognizable pieces. We also appreciate that the output pieces take up less room in the storage compartment and in the trash bag.

I previosly owned a Fellowes cross cut paper shredder that did the a great job for over thirteen years. I bought this micro cut Fellowes shredder at a great price. It is a little smaller but shreds a lot quieter. Fellowes makes very dependable products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best shredder at reasonable price. It provides the most security against documents theft as it shreds in micro size that nobody can access the information. I had to replace the same one as the one of the wheels of the stand found broken but I had the Asurion extended warranty, so I got all my purchased price back and I purchased the same model 60 MC CRC 49210 again. It's a very compact machine and takes extraordinarily little space. Durable and very efficient.

We had issues with the shredder not shutting off automatically and also the lights did not indicating that the shredder was on or running after only having it for 6 months. This is a replacement which was sent to us by Fellowes Customer Service for the same shredder. Hopefully this shredded will last longer than the previous one we purchased.

Machine made a thumping noise from day 1. Product is a Fellows item, states on machine if you have problem to contact fellows. I was in contact with them and they were unable to help as item is discontinued.

This is the second time I am attempting to post a review. My first review got deleted I think people should be aware that this product is inferior. The base is made of the kind of plastic that you see in plastic forks and spoons. The top shredding motor is very heavy and substantial and maybe works well. I never got that far but it does not fit on to the skimpy base and could easily tip over on a small child. This is a very poorly designed paper shredder. I purchased a Fellowes paper shredder for the home. Not as powerful but it's doing the trick and it is not a safety hazard.
