Fellowes® AutoMax 100MA 100-Sheet Auto Feed Micro-Cut Shredder, Black, 4704001

This is my first Fellowes shredder. I had an off name brand before that lasted 20 years. I decided to go with a name brand this time because of their reputation. I did purchase the liner bags to cut down on dust mess in the bin and easy disposal of the paper. I also purchased the Fellowes oil that is recommended for lubrication and keeping the blades sharp. I never oiled my last one and the paper started to jam. It is supposed to have a 250-sheet capacity in the holding bin. Superior security assures peace of mind with this P-4 micro-cut shredder, shreds credit cards, paper clips and staples through the manual feed opening. Loving it so far.

Very sturdy. Seems like it will last. Only time will tell, but looks to be a good start.

powerful shredder with easy tray emptying

This is a tiny but mighty little machine. It is very speedy in its auto feed shredding. I have another brand and this one does 3 pages to the 1 page of the other. The pieces are very small making it impossible for anyone to piece together confidential materials. It does need more frequent cool downs when you are shredding large amounts, but for the speed it is worth the wait. For the price, I highly recommend

Compact and powerful

The base of this shredder is very flimsy, I did not like it at all. It will be returned.

1. It is for light use. After continued use of ONLY 7 MINUTES, you will need to wait for 40 minutes. It takes 5 minutes to shred 100 pages, which means only 120-150 pages can be shredded an hour. 2. The bin is too filmsy. It feels that the motor may collapse or the bin will break. 3. The motor will snap onto the bin, and it is almost impossible to unsnap it from the bin without professional help. While this is for safety purpose, it poses challenges if you need to unsnap the motor if you want to replace the bin or remove the motor to put it back to the original packaging or for other purposes.
