Not quite as wide as I had thought but still does the job
This Fellowes wrist rest was just what I was looking for. I needed to replace one I had for years. This one was a perfect replacement. Very comfortable; no-slip bottom surface and the length was just right for my full-size keyboard. And at a very good price.
There are many gel wrist but ordering online you can't tell. This Gel is firm. Like shopping for mattresses.
This really relieves the stress on my wrists from typing all day. Highly recommended for anyone who is on the computer a lot!
Overall it meets my expectations. I have had this brands gel pads for many years, but this one does not flex to the shape of the keyboard as previous models. The description doesn't mention that feature. I would definitely buy this product again, as I think it's the best & most comfortable product out there.
I bought this on the web hoping that it would be as soft as the 10 year old wrist rest I already had, but that was falling apart. Though this wrist rest is good for short spells of typing, or general keyboarding work, any more than about 1 hour on this thing and your wrists will begin to hurt, your circulation will be slightly cut, and your palms will begin to tingle. It's okay for short periods of work, but someone like a graphic designer, or Web Designer would not find this workable.
I was disappointed in product. The dimensions was suppose to be 5" wide and it was 2.5". I already had another wrist rest that was 3" and wanted a wider one. Too much trouble returning. The gel bottom does stay in place better than my other one.
Six days after I received this product, the seam that holds graphite gel in the wrist rest failed and allowed the gel to ooze out onto my computer table. Had the wrist rest just long enough to feel comfortable with the purchase and discard the original boxes.
Multiple units ordered within the past few months. All have failed within the span of a month. The seam between the fabric cover and the base splits open, allowing the gel filling to spill out. Customer support will ship a replacement, which will then do the same thing.
I've had a Fellowes keyboard gel wrist rest for years but the cloth had separated from the gel and it's gotten stained over time. I figured on getting a replacement. According to Walmart's specifications and picture, this product was the same one as I already had and knew that I liked very much. Instead what I got was a 2-inch shorter wrist rest whose gel was very stiff. My old one is still much better than this new one with real support that is soft on the wrists. This new one feels only marginally better than the plastic rests that some keyboards include. It was a big disappointment and I will be returning this item as not meeting the specifications for size along with hardly any real *gel* type of support. Hopefully I can find the exact same model as I have so I can replace it with one that is just as long (since some keyboard, especially multimedia units, are longer) and has cushy support for the wrists.
