So far so good on this purchase. I have a small desk top Fellow Shremate I love. So I thought when my larger one died I would try replaceing it with a Fellows. Just wish it had a larger base so I didn't have to dump it so often. I shred everything I get in the mail with my personal info on it.
My family and I have gone from horrible shredder to horrible shredder. But this shredder H-9C is the best shredder yet, it actually shreds. When I first bought it I was thinking, ok maybe it will work. But then I brought it home and put it to the test. It wouldn't jam no matter how much I put in there. So, Fellowes company you honestly know what you're doing. Best wishes from a happy more than satisfied customer!
I have purchased this product after my previous shredder wasn't working properly. I tried it for the first time today and I was happy with my purchase. I can shred credit cards and multiple sheets of paper again.
very good quality shredder. I believe this will last me for years to come. Really does a great job shredding and I like that it can shred credit cards!!!
This is an excellent shredder! I set a timer to ensure that I do not shred for longer than 5 minutes at a time. That's understood in order to keep the unit operating at an optimal level. Only area where I rated a 4 instead of 5 is "Style and Design." I would have given it a 5 if the bin (collection basket) was a little larger. Overall I'm very pleased with this purchase.
Fellowes is a household name in office products. When someone in our home (still looking for "not me" ha!) killed our shredder, the first kind that came to mind was Fellowes. Love our new one, we upgraded from the last one just in case "not me" shows up again! Lol!
My old shredder jammed practically every time I used it, but this product doesn't. I also like the feature that enables me to shred staples and credit cards. I have bragged about your product to several of my friends. I bought the last one in stock! I told the clerk that the store should re-order more ..
Small enough to fit anywhere, under desk or next to trash can in office. Shreds 9 sheets, which is practically same as 10 sheet shredders of much larger size. Has a 5 minute run time before over-heating, which is much better than 3 minute time of larger shredders. Still has cross-cut for more security.
Worst shredder I have ever owned. Did not like it from the start. Safety Lock was broke right out of the box. Comes no where near 9 sheet capacity. There is no way this was made for medium use. I think I will try the Fellowes W11C again, which I've owned two of. The fist one last 5 years. The second one I bought, thinking I would get 5 years from it, did not hold up. Something about the way it was wired, it lasted about two years.
This thing is worthless. I purchased it about a year ago, and although not very powerful, as was expected given its advertised use, it would shred 1 to 3 sheets of paper at a time, but no where near the advertised capacity, which is also expected, but it really bogged down with more than 3 sheets. After about 6 months, even with proper care (including lubricant sheets), the machine would begin to clog up after about 5 SINGLE SHEET shreds, requiring me to run it in reverse for 10 or 15 seconds, then forward to clear the clog. This happened every time I tried to use it, even when it was completely clean and lubricated. Garbage.
