[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a science teacher, I am constantly constructing hands-on manipulatives to use for classroom activities. These items must be durable in order to withstand the constant handling by many students so a laminator is a teacher necessity. The Venus 125 laminator is a workhorse compared to other laminators which I have purchased. I was able to easily laminate 30+ papers one-after-another quickly and without jams or misfeeds. It heats up quickly (less than 1 minute) and operates fairly quietly. The top of the machine gets warm with extended use but not so much that you cannot touch it. Cosmetically, it is attractive - the front panel can be flipped up when not in use and the light color goes with any decor. It does take up a significant amount of desk space 13 inches wide and 21 inches long and must have clearance in the back for the item to exit. Although I was not able to try it, I believe this laminator is capable of laminating wider items. On the rare occasions when I put an item into the laminator incorrectly, it automatically reversed so that i could make an adjustment and re-insert into the machine. I used Fellowes pouches and had very few misfeeds. A bonus is that the machine has an "automatic off" feature when it has not been used for 30 minutes. Excellent product - I highly recommend! It was ready inside of one minute which was terrific because I needed my material right away. When I don't load a page properly, it pushes it back out to me, allowing me to reposition the page without jamming. I love this machine and how quickly it laminates. Usually the first laminated sheet put through stops about half way and then gets rejected. You have to wait much longer than indicated for the machine to be ready to laminate. Once it is fully warmed up though, and have spit out the half laminated first one, all the others go smoothly.
