I've never grown corn, but I had a place that needed something so I said, “Why not?” I did my homework as to desirable strains and how long to harvest. I must admit I was skeptical when I opened the seed packet and inside were these tiny shriveled up kernels of corn. Well after a week, I had pretty green sprouts that hold promise for a few good tasting ears later in the season.

Planted late July. Came up quick!
They were out of the corn I wanted, so I got these as a substitute. Boy, I'm glad I did. I planted these just a few days ago around July 29 as I knew I could plant corn late in Kentucky to have a fall crop, and I already have these tiny corn stalks coming up. So very pleased. It is tough to grow anything in our little garden.

Good Germination
I like Ferry-Morse seeds. I ordered the 6G Corn Annual Vegetable Seeds packet. Upon inspection the corn looked fine. It germinated fast. Perfect for my small garden. I chose the Sweet Early Golden Bantam variety because it is easy to grow.
