FiberBuilt 7.5-ft. Wind Resistant Garden Umbrella

We use this product in a heavy duty umbrella stand on a deck near the water where it can often be windy. The sun can be intense. This umbrella gives shade yet handles the wind by letting it pass thourgh the mesh fabric. I only wish it were a little larger.

I was skeptical with the fabric- at first. I wasn't sure it would keep enough sunlight out - but it does. The shape is wonderful - the shade of red is fabulous and it was a cinch to put up. We love our umbrella and the products Hayneedle offers.

I use this at my pool. I have three tables there. When the other umbrellas go bad I will buy more. I could't get this type in a store,the edges hang down all around the umbrella as opposed to being a flat umbrella. [...]the price was right. Even got $10 off.As I was checking the status of the delivery on line there was a knock at the door, guess what, it was my umbrella.I like the product and will now look at other items you sell.

Overall, this is a great umbrella. We live on top a hill on top of a mountain and so we deal with very strong wind often. This umbrella can withstand strong gusts, even when tilted in the path of the wind. The only drawback is that the shade is not very opaque. Sunlight comes through at about 50% intensity. The fabric is like that Coolaroo fabric that somehow blocks UV rays but has a lose, woven texture. I suppose that the breathable nature of the fabric helps the umbrella to handle the wind.

I thought I ordered a stripped umbrella, but I got a burgundy. It looks great and is the right color I would of choose. Maybe I made the error. It is very well made, and is a wind resistant, so it is a very THICK plastic material. It came in a timely schedule, which was a surprise. All and all a very good experience.

We bought two of these last year and they hold up pretty good. They are used in a commercial environment so they get some abuse and are not always lowered after use. They are a good umbrella for the price.

I like both my units, they look good, easy to put up, but both white balls on top broke off in less than 3 days. I dont know if there is any way to repair? Outside of that, they are just what i wanted. The units just dont look as good without the balls on top.

Normally I love everything from Hayneedle, but this umbrella is a real disappointment. It's not harmed by wind b/c it's goes right through it along with the sun and rain. I should have gone by some of the reviews which noticed the same poor quality. No protection from sun or rain.

The open weave of the mesh fabric of the umbrella does little to block out sun. Seems a very strange choice of material since blocking/screening sun is the purpose of the umbrella. Another reviewer mentioned this but I guess I thought they were exaggerating. Fortunately, the return was fairly easy and refund was promptly received.

We were initially pleased with this umbrella. However, last night we had a thunderstorm and the umbrella (in closed position, in a 40 # stand in the middle of a concret table) ended up on the roof of our garage. The tilt mechanism was broken and the fabric was torn. [...] I feel that I was misled regarding the ""wind resistant"" claim. We have had other umbrellas that withstood much worse than last night's storm. We had this umbrella less than two weeks and now we are out our money and have no umbrella.
