other then setting up the vent in the window this is plug and use. i was shocked at how quickly this unit cools my entire 1 bedroom cottage. i absolutely 100% recommend this item

AC run well, the AC unit cool room very good. The filters are not easy to pull out and put back in so I had to invent my own filters to keep the AC unit running and clean. The noise level should be lower.

I like the Honeywell Portable Air conditioner brand. After 7 years, It was time for a new one, as it was not cooling as well and started making odd noises this past month. I chose this new Honeywell 13,500 BTU Slim %26 Smart WiFi Portable AC with Fan, Dehumidifier, Alexa/Google Home Voice because I wanted to stay with the Honeywell brand, but wanted a PAC that could respond to Alexa voice commands through my older Echo Dot devices. The PAC Unit arrived by FedEx fairly quickly, in great condition, with no damage to the box or the unit. It was shipped directly from the manufacture/dealer JMA North America LLC. (They own Honeywell.) The room cooling capacity for this PAC was close to my old PAC, but the physical size of this one is smaller. This smaller one fits in my bedroom much better, so that was a nice surprise. I've been running this new PAC for the past 2 weeks during our HOT North Idaho weather, (95 to 102 degrees for the past 2 weeks), and it has been working great! I was not expecting this smaller sized PAC Unit to cool as well as my older unit, but this one is actually doing better! So far, I am super happy with how well this PAC is working! After a bit of a struggle, and looking up some details online, Ii was able to get this PAC unit to work fairly well with my 8 different household, Amazon 3'd Generation Alexa Echo Dots! And my 3 different Echo Flexes too! I paired it with the Echo Dot in my bedroom, but commands will work with all of 3'd Gen Echo Dots and echo flexes in my house. It can be fussy with how you name the PAC though, so pick something short and simple! For the most part, I am super happy with the cooling power of this PAC, and that it works decent with Alexa. BUT... There is a small but important problem, at least with the Unit I received! To remove and clean the top and bottom dust filters has turned out to be difficult for me. Not easy like my old unit was! The 2 filters are supposed to be able to slide out when you pull them. They do slide out on some sort of internal roller, but not very well. Cleaning the filters are pretty easy. You can gently hand wash them or even vacuum them, but just have my husband use his air compressor to blow the dust off them. The main issue I a having is with getting the dust filters back in place in the PAC unit! They do not slide back in very well at all! It is a big pain and I end up having to disconnect the exhaust hose each time just to be able to get the bottom filter back in. That is a major drawback for me! - So for the actual functioning of this PAC unit I would give 5 stars. - For the ability to turn the unit on and off with Alexa and change the thermostat setting or the mode, I'd give 5 stars. - BUT, for the difficulty with removing and then reinstalling the 2 dust filters, I' only give 3 stars! - Averaged out, I give this Honeywell PaC unit 4 Stars! - Hope this review was helpful!

The AC unit is quiet and powerful, cooling the room quickly. Two issues with unit though. The side of the unit has a sticker that states 'Use on single outlet circuit only'. It does not say this on the box or in the User's manual. Installing a single outlet circuit can cost upwards of $500. The second issue is the wifi- good luck- it requires modifying your wifi router to 2.4 GHz. I gave up and just use the remote control.

This is a great portable AC unit, it is small and easy to carry up stairs once un boxed, unlike many other portable AC units. There are only two drawbacks %231 it's tempature fluction varies wildly, the thermostat is set to 72, it cools the room to 69, then turns off completely and comes back on when the room reaches 74/75. Which is not an issue I've seen before in portable AC units. %232 The other issue is the noise it makes, it comes on and makes almost a gurgling sound (no other way to describe it). If this was in my living room it probably wouldn't bother me, but it can wake you up out of a dead sleep, if it is in a bedroom. I would however still buy this again just based on the compact size and its cooling power.

Works ok, not as good as a window unit. Took several hours to get bedroom cool after installation. Once room met temperature setting it worked well thru the night. Rated a 3 stars works ok but wouldnt buy again.

We purchased this new Honeywell after owning our previous for about five years, and needed a new one for the space. The old one grew mold. For the price of almost $400. This one does not stay on long enough to cool the room to the designated temperature, room is under 200sqft, supposed to work for 500. It auto turns off after like 30 seconds before ever actually cooling the room to the temperature designated and was horrifying dry. The first two weeks after purchase with a powerful humidifier on. unfortunately too late to return. Also louder than the older model we have. After testing it for a month would not purchase and would not recommend.

Very very noisy. Can't run the fan continuously in Air Conditioning mode. I prefer that mode in a bedroom so I don't hear the fan and compressor starting at night at the same time. Compressor cycles off and on a lot while trying to reach room temperature .Seems to be pushing excessive oil through the sealed system. No side to side air direction vane, just up and down. I wish I hadn't purchased this air conditioner.

Like Honeywell products. No smell unboxing. NO customer service from JMA - no phone support at all and only canned AI responses ot my problem - which is cannot access the internal tank of this unit to clean it so it gets moldy. SHOULD BE RECALLED.
