I've been intolerant to cheese for a few months now. and it was tough for me because I love cheese. I started buying lactose-free cheeses, but they tasted like cardboard. When I bought this cheese and tried it for the first time, I loved it. It's very similar to regular cheese, it tastes delicious, and I highly recommend it.
Great for topping pizza, grilled sandwiches, adding to pasta, etc. And it is a healthier. more humane substitute for cheese. Dairy is a cruel food because calves, instead of getting their mothers' milk, are taken away, and both moms and babies cry and cry. im not gonna explain the subsequent horrors that follow fot the calves. Dairy also compromises human bone heslth. (Forks Over Knives).
I don't like this cheese cold but it is luscious melted. It makes absolutely wonderful cheese toasties. They melt in your mouth I like this cheese toastie with red pepper tomato soup purchased also at Walmart they are both so good and so good together I don't know which one to take a bite of next lol
One of my go to non dairy cheese options. Doesn't have much nutritional value or protein but paired with a sandwich with meat the texture and mild taste is a nice cheese substitute. Makes decent grilled cheese sandwiches too, just doesn't melt quite the same as cheese.
As a new vegetarian who's trying to cut out as much animal dairy as possible I absolutely love this cheese! It taste just like American cheese. The only issue I have is that it doesn't melt quite as easily, but that's not a huge issue for me. 20 seconds in the microwave and it'll hug whatever you melt it on, just don't expect a stringy result like with real dairy cheese. But if you're simply looking for something to snack on or to throw on a sandwich this is such a great choice.
For someone who dearly loves cheese of any kind this was a blessing for me when I was diagnosed with alpha gal syndrome, and was told I could no longer eat dairy anything except eggs. When my son found this for me, I was in seventh heaven. This brand has shredded cheese of all kinds and to have found liquid cheese has just really enhanced my mac %26 cheese that I make from scratch.
In my opinion one of the best plant-based cheeses you can find without spending an arm and a leg in a specialty store. This cheese has a mild, creamy taste and it melts quite well. Perfect for grilled cheese or burgers. Good value for a plant-based cheese.
As a dedicated vegan, I can confidently say that Field Roast Chao Creamery Vegan Slices in Creamy Original are hands down my absolute favorite vegan cheese! These slices are a game-changer, offering an incredibly smooth, creamy texture and a rich, savory flavor that melts beautifully. They've truly perfected the art of vegan cheese, making it an indispensable staple in my kitchen.
Purchased due to lactose issue with my 5yr old who loves cheese! Works to make him a grilled cheese or a cheese burger for a TREAT... I do not use often! ... Really not sure on these type substitutions that seem to give very little nutritional value.... Smell?? Not the same as regular cheese and i do not know how to describe in proper fashion.
My newborn has a dairy allergy and I was looking for good cheese substitutions while I nurse . This was noooot a good substitution I thought my experience would be similar to majority of the reviews but it was not . It does not melt, it has the same consistency as a rubber band, it's really oily when you attempt to melt, and it hardly has flavor . This def should be priced cheaper. Maybe I got a bad batch but my experience was not a good one
