Field+Forest by Kaytee Rat Food 2 lb

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our Dumbo Rats have been eating Kaytee Field + Forest Rat Food for a couple weeks. They clean the bowl daily and seem hungry for more! Eating this food seems to agree with their bellies! I can only assume it must be good to them!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have 2 pet rats and this brand is different than what we've been feeding them so far, so I wasn't sure how they'd take to it, but they seem to prefer it to their other food. It's easy to measure out, keeps them satisfied, and seems to create less dusty mess than our old brand. I will continue to use this!

When rodents can not find food, that is when they come in. And that is not just in cold weather. I placed the pellets out in the pasture and believe me, my little rodent friends did not come in the house! 2 thumbs up on the product!!!

We are now having to ration it because they will finish a bowl so quickly! We also love that the cover "model" looks very much like our girl Rain.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This food was alright. My rat was not a big fan of this. He did eat it but it took him awhile to come around. Packaging was alright. I had to put into a separate container after opening so it would not go stale.

Can be a great food if you can give your little hamsters some fresh fruit, seed and a pellet for their meal. I felt like this improved the stamina and energy of my hamster than it had before.

I will always grab the Kaytee bag before anything else. The bags are made of a sturdy plastic with a resealable top which helps keep the food fresh.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are huge greasy and smelly pellets, and if I had paid closer attention to the nutrition, I would not have bought this. I was in need of food, all the pets stores near me didn't have the normal diet I give my rats. Rats benefit more from a grain and seed diet with things like sunflower seeds, corn, millet, grains, and added vitamins for a nutritious diet. This food is made more of crude proteins, which is essential to their diet too, but not in the amount that they put into this food. It's basically just like eating nothing but frozen pizza and chicken nuggets in rat form. It will keep them alive but its not ideal. And because my rats are used to higher quality food, they won't even touch this.
