FIFA Soccer 2009 - Xbox 360

I am a FIFA fan, and FIFA series is the only game i play on my 360. So i can only compare it to previous FIFA games. Overall this is the best game in the series so far. It meets almost all the expectations. The physics are much improved and the collisions and takles feel and look realistic. The graphics and animation are as good as any other game on 360, full of detail and realism. Sometimes it is hard to distinguish if its a game or a real soccer match. The games are harder, by which i mean more realistic. The AI is much improved. On the downside the one improvement i was looking forward to the most was the keeper AI. Unfortunately it is not much improved but still better than the previous FIFAs. Another downside is the refreeing. The refrees are now visible in the game but they tend to be really harsh and unconsistent. If you dont control your self you can easily have yellow and red cards lining up. I even had to forfit the game cause 5 of my players were sent off. There are some new interesting features in 09. One of which is the adidas live season. This is similar to the one offered in NBA live. You get a code with the game which you can use for one of the many leagues available in the game. Then what it does it, is it downloads real-time form of the players in the league on weakly bases. This form only applies to online games, and the player you are playing against doesnt have to have this feature turned on. So you might be at a disadvantage at times playing online if your team is not doing well in the real world. Another feature is the ability to play be a pro mode with 10 controlable players per team (previously it was only 5 per team). The mode plays the same as it did in FIFA 08. Also the be a pro carrier mode is also extended to four seasons now. Also now the height and weight of the players also matter when you are fighting for a position or ball. The soundtrack is as always very broad and filled with many nice songs. Its just that the randomization doesnt seem to work well. This game is totally worth the money, and if you buy it used you can buy the Adidas live season code from the ea website, if it didnt come with your used copy. I still dont know why Ronaldinho is still the face of FIFA. Also it still allows the players to quit in between an online game, and it always comes up as connection lost, it doesnt tell you if the player quit. So at times it might be your connection or the other player quiting, you will never know and might rate the other player unfairly. The game is very addicting. Worth $60.
