Thus pool filter was almost half the cost of the local pool store. I gave 5 stars because the filter seems to be similar or the same as what I buy for double the cost at my local pool retailer. As far as quality or length of service I cant speak to that but I can update my review with product quality info as needed.

Fit perfect and was cheaper than all other on Google.

This filter seems to be average quality. It fits my pool pump. Well, my only concern is the filtration process is not high because it's not thick enough as the wall are very thin and some fabrics going off after two times of cleaning.

Size fits pretty well . While cleaning some parts in bottom appeared loose .

I ordered this 100 SQ.FT Optimum Pool Technologies pool filter because I wanted a second filter to alternate with another filter I bought last month. I thought I'd try buying an American-made product at $25 less than I pay for the high-end brands. Big mistake on my part. I used this pool filter for three days. Before I installed it, I had cleaned the pool of algae. I installed this filter then watched the algae return due to the 95 degree temps and constant sunshine here in Palm Bay, Florida. After three days with slight algae growth, I removed and cleaned the filter using the same hose I used to clean all my filters. I noticed immediately that a lot of dirt stuck to the filter. Usually when I spray from top to bottom a majority of the dirt flows downward. Then I flip the filter and spray from top to bottom. On a new filter in the past, they ALL came clean. Not this filter. The dirt looks like it "burned" into the material. I can't wash it out. Then I noticed that roughly 25 percent of the pleats opened. All this after 3 days of usage. It's June 18 and I doubt this filter will last through the summer. I learned my lesson: stick with what you know works! I've attached a photo of the new filter used for only 3 days next to an used 3-year-old filter (different brand).
