the merv rating 5 seems best for me even though may have to change a couple weeks early than the merv 8 or higher, previous purchase was merv 8 and heat didn't come on as often, the thicker filter wasn't allowing the colder room airflow to be pulled into the intake vent so rooms would stay abit colder longer, my new unit is only a year and a half old.

Great filter but it wasn't the one I ordered. My furnace works overtime with this type of filter. It would ve a good filter for certain furnaces that take it. Buying online and doing pick up was easy. Communication with substituted items can be better.

Great filter and delivered quickly. we found out the hard way that buying the really expensive filters was a bad idea. Our furnace kept shutting down. We were told that the filter we had been using had too high a MERV rating (an 11) and was not letting the air thru. Thiis filter is a 5 and works perfectly, we are reordered monthly now. Much cheaper than an expensive furnace repair.

These are the perfect mix of quantity and quality. The higher MERV filter you get the more it can and WILL tax your blower motor. I have been using MERV 13 and when it got super cold down near 0, my heater stopped working. The repair man took out my MERV 13 and put in a cheaper filter, and it immediately fixed my heater. I went on the York website and they recommend MERV 8 or below. So here I am with these. I have used them in the past with this system with 0 issues. I couldn't find them anymore and used the 13's because I got a good deal on them from Amazon. I figured, the bigger MERV would protect us more. It's all hype and fluff. Get middle of the road and don't second guess it. These will be perfect for everyone.

Super great value for these filters. I rent so I do not want to keep a back stock and then if/when we move need a different size. I order quarterly for my filter changes and it works for us! Check it out and see if it works for you.

Value for money is great for washing very fine washables on a very gentle cycle in your washer Fit - it fits well in the wash with other gentle fine linens or silk like clothes or anything you wash on gentle and not on hot water Quality is good because i put my lingerie in the bag along with bras hose and other items to not get tangled up in the washer size is big enough to fit a couple of bras or panties and it is not mesh it is solid but with breathing holes for the laundry and that is needed when washing bras or panties or anything that was finely sewn.

This is a solid filter. You can count on the 90 day description. I have been using these for several years now and am very happy with their performance.

As a property manager, I'm very sensitive to getting a filter that puts the least amount of stress on the fan motor while keeping dust/dirt from entering the system and causing problems at the evaporator (one goal is prolonging the HVAC system life). This level of filtration accomplishes this goal well for a decent price. I think other brands with this same level of filtration are fine too (and probably cheaper). If you're willing to spend the considerable extra amount of money to filter allergens, mold, etc., you'll need filters with a higher filtration number (or MERV rating), but these will put more stress on the fan motor. I do not suffer from allergies and I'm not unusually sensitive to mold, but there is a lot of science and my own empirical proof from professional (and expensive) mold testing experts I hired, backing up the fact that even with these "dust and dirt" level filters, allergen and mold concentrations are a fraction of their outdoor concentrations. So unless you have an active mold source in your home, I highly recommend sticking with this level filtration. Your wallet will thank you in the short and long term. Lastly, few people change their filters regularly (about every three months), but it's key to do this for efficient operation (lower electric bills) and longer system life.

This filter strikes a good balance of filtering the air while allowing adequate air flow. Some of the more premium filters affect performance. These are sturdy enough to hold their shape and install, but they are often somewhat bowed. These used to include a simple sticker/label on the wrapper. I guess they had to cut back bc they no longer have the reminder sticker for the user to fill in the dates. Instead, they offer an app. I don't want to download a million apps and make accounts with my info to accomplish something so simple. If I wanted a digital reminder, I'd just use my regular phone/e-mail calendar. I can easily make a label, but it was convenient having the store-bought one already provided.
