Less expensive than the big box hardware store across the street, and delivered to my door. The trick to installing these was taught to me by an HVAC tech: Turn the Fan setting to "On" so there is an active suction and these filters will literally be held in place by the vacume of the fan setting so you can put the grate back in place without everything falling on your head. My filter grate is in the ceiling and it was driving me bananas trying to get these things to stay put (I have a double grate, so I have to install two at a time and not enough hands to hold them in place) while I replace the grate. I never looked to see if there is a tip like that on the package, but if there isn't, now you know. I always order another package when I install the one I previously ordered so that I always have a fresh pair to replace with.
my favorite brand. always has performed 100% for me. last heat pump installation, lasted 27 yrs. i believe truly to keeping these good filters changed regularly. a tip: add painters tap around the perimeter of the filter when installing it. a hvac man said it cuts dust going into the unit/your house. it worked
I can tell when we put a fresh one of these in as the unit is in the half stand up crawlspace with GA Red Mold…i mean CLAY! It has a special odor of rot and decay all it's own under there. While the HVAC itself was replaced 2 years ago in the place we rent, the ductwork is 40 years old and is disgusting. At least the air coming ‘through them' is cleaner when using these filters! Without these good quality filters the red mold dirt and rot smell would mix with the aged duct mildew, dust and rust smell. My senses would be truly be offended at that!
Its too early to tell. I am waiting to see how long it will last. If it needs to be changed before 3 months then the product is well worth the price. If it goes pto 3 month depending on the condition it may be worth it. If the time spans longer then it is probably not worth it.
I have been ordering these for years and will continue to do so because they are wonderful and meet my nieeds
filter is great. The problem is when delivered, it will be crushed. Every dang time. Then it will not fit and seal correctly.
I bought this for my daughter's birthday and she loves it. It has everything that she wanted in there books that you can find really easy and the colored maps.
These furnace filters are excellent and last for a while. I had a metal filter, and these are much better. Thank you very much.
What exactly what I ordered was easy to install was a great fit. Feels like I can finally breathe in my house again. This product offers the best performance.
Beware - runs large. Had been using Glassfor and decided to try these. Too big for hvac slots. Have to bend to insert - and it's a wrestling match. Going back to Glassfor. Even if quality is better, don't rec bc trouble with size.
