Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time - Nintendo Wii

It follows the FFCC style which is really cool, and is fun for all ages. The storyline is good and it has better qaulity for the armor detail the FFCC: Ring of Fates, and it's pretty uniqe that you can use the FFCC: Echos of Time (DS) and link with other DS's to the Wii verison which should allow it so there would be one screen on the tv for the DS has the two screens that would appear on the tv... Altho I havn't got it for the DS yet, my friends all say it works like that....

It's a little tough, but overall a pretty good game.

I was hesitant to purchase this title. I've followed most of the Final Fantasy games up to this point and as a Wii owner I was excited to see a Final Fantasy title out for the Wii and curious as to how it would play out. Keep in mind that I've played the game for two hours thus far. So take my review in that light. It deviates from the traditional Turn based style and plays like a real time RPG. (similar to the Secret of Mana). I actuall enjoy this change of pace, but if you are looking for the turn based flow, you might be3 disappointed. The biggest hangup I have so far is the two screens that you control. I already have a smaller TV so this may be worse for me then most, but the play area is two screens, which leaves alot of unused space. You can increase and decrease each screen size as needed. The main problem with this is that the main screen is limited in size and makes the text difficult to read at times. I have no complains about the gameplay and the storyline has been entertaining for the first two hours. I'm not sorry I bought this game, and I would again, but it doesn't quite measure up to what I've seen of Final Fantasy in the past.

This game is actually designed to only use a small section of your screen for game play. About 1/3 of the left side of the screen is where you are looking. On the right side is the same sized box for your inventory. The rest is just black. Despite my best efforts there is absolutely no way to change this. I have a 32" screen and was barely able to see what i was doing. All in all it is extremely disappointing. A serious waste of my money.
