This game has provided my son with hours of entertainment. If you have one or more people with a DS and they also have this game they can all work together. I looked around when I went to buy this game and Walmart provided the cheapest price plus shipping. We are very satisfied with our purchase.
I played the original FF CC, and I was REALLY mad about the miasma thing. Problem solved, and the game is hilarious on multiplayer...i step on their heads as a platform! The picture included is how excited I was when I picked it up and played it.
I bought FFCC: RoF on a whim. I hadn't heard much good about the first Crystal Chronicles game and was a little skeptical as to how this game would play out. When I first turned it on and got into it I really enjoyed it. The battle system is much like that of putting Kingdom Hearts onto the DS. Only with the ability to control other characters as well. While there is a bit of a learning curve to the game it's not very hard to master. Despite having four characters to use (after you've attained them all at least) you'll find your self sticking to using Yuri (a Clavat) most of the time. As he is the only reasonable damage dealer and tank in the game. The other characters have limited usefulness and are only switched to for puzzle solving or for a change of pace. The storyline is engaging, but short. It's a tad rushed actually. Just when you feel like you're finally getting started, the end of the story rolls around. The game does have replay value in that after you beat the main campaign you unlock Hard mode and then after that Very Hard mode as well. The multiplay feature is very nice. Allows you to fully use each tribe the way it's ment to be used. In story mode you really don't get this option because what ever character you switch to, all the enemies will attack that character. Giving you no chance to use characters ment to stay in the back rows. The only problem is that, to this day, the only DS game with over-the-net wi-fi play is Pokemon. And the game would be so much more worth it if we could connect to players far away through use of a wi-fi connection. It's somewhat difficult to get a party of four people, all of whom have a DS and all of whom have the same game to play and be confined to a 30 ft distance between the DS's. But you do get to play multiplay on your own if you wish. But once again. you'll probably be limited to a Clavat class. I do believe the game is worth the money. I enjoyed the story, despite being rushed. And the gameplay is fast paced and fun. I say pick the game up, and then force your friends to buy a copy as well!
First off this game had a good gameplay system that i enjoyed very much, but the game itself was very short with a cheesy storyline
