I haven't play a Final Fantasy Tactic game since the original on PS1. This game for Nintendo DS is wonderful. Many, many quests & side quests to complete. This game has so many different character classes to choose from for endless playability. It is very easy to start playing this game & end up playing it for hours & not even realizing it. There is not much of a storyline, which is typical for a tactic game, but that doesn't lower the gameplay one bit. Excellent product, highly reccomended.
I play this game every night. I've alreeady put 27 hrs into it and only completed a quarter of the quests! If you want a game that will take a long time to beat... this is it.
My favorite FFT so far, and I've played them all. The graphics and gameplay are the best yet in a FFT. The story, however, is your average RPG fare. - An example of one of the positive changes here are the way "laws" work. In the original FFTA for GBA laws in battle were harsh and you were severely reprimanded for breaking them, making gameplay pretty restricted and not fun at times. - In FFTA2 you are rewarded for following laws, instead of punished for breaking them, making battles as a whole much more fun. - The way the map works has also been changed and is much better. A new bazaar feature has been introduced where you gather components from your fallen enemies and sell them at the bazaar to unlock new equipment. - The touch screen is used sparingly, mostly for movement on the map or interface navigation. I would've liked to see more creative use of the DS features, but not here. - Overall, the changes are positive and if you've enjoyed any FFT game before, you will definitely enjoy this one.
-i'm a big RTS (real time strategy) gamer. i loved this game. if you are a first time played of the "tactics" games for fianl fantasy, there are quite a few of them. the frist was for PS1 and was rereleased for PSP. Final Fantasy Advaced was on the game boy advanced. this game is not a continuation of the first but a whole new story. so don't afraid that you wont know main characters or plotline. they have although pulled some characters from other final fantasy games, such as Vann from FF12. For those who have played alot of final fantasys you will just already know a few of the characters. -if you have played the first final fantasy tactics advanced, and didn't kill yourself because of the law system, you will love this one. the laws have changed a TON. no longer will you be struck down with the yellow/red card of death! but you will be rewarded at the end of the battle for just simply keeping the law but not punished for breaking it. -the game is heafty. if you spend the time and do all the quests and side missions, it can easily be a 80 or 90 hour game. -graphics arn't super awesome 3D in-your-face, but i love the old school feel of it and it runs smooth. lets face it the DS isnt the best at 3D graphics anyway
