The magnets and hooks workwell, just as you would expect them to, but you *must* assemble each of the six hooks into a magnet *before* you can use them, which can be tricky, as they are small, firm, and hard to grip. Think of inserting the hook into the magnet like inserting a stethoscope into your ears: you must first pull the ends apart before you can insert them into your ears. With these hooks, you must first pry apart the "V" shape of the hook, then insert one end of the hook into the hole of the magnet. I recommend placing a slot-blade screwdriver at the top of the "V", then sliding it slowly down the "V" until it spreads the two parts enough to insert one end of the hook into a hole in the magnet. Once you have the first hook inserted, pull the hook sideways into the hole deeper, as that will make inserting the second hook much easier. The good news: you will never have to disassemble them, so this is all a one-time pain in where you sit.
