Love to give this before loading on the trailer. Seems to help settle stomachs on a trailer ride.
U7 Gastric Aid works for my mare. To me, she was showing signs of gastric distress-when she heard the diesel truck backing up to hook up to the trailer, she would break out in a sweat just in front of her withers which was odd since she was standing in her stall-Having been on the quarter mile track as a 2 year old, I put 2 + 2 together and came up with a "ulcer" suspicion-I started her on the Smart Pak U7 Gastric Aid, and she has been on it since-she no longer shows signs of distress-and became a calm quieter horse-
My new ottb was showing mild ulcery symptoms. I started him on this and within 3 weeks all his symptoms were gone. He didn't want to eat it the first day but by day 2 and on he gobbles it down. Not sure what changed but he decided he loves it. Even licks up the powder that falls to the bottom.
I bought a 6yo, unraced TB gelding and he had cow patty type poop....very flat and wet, no form or the classic "apples" horses are supposed to produce. I did a power pack worming, added aloe vera to his diet, tested his droppings for organisms that might cause it, nothing. I put him on a daily wormer...slightly better, but not good enough. Then I tried Finish Line U-7 Gastric formula because I liked the ingredients, and presto, he has normal droppings now. His poop used to be so wet he had thrush in 3 out of 4 feet in spite of mucking his stall 2x daily. Good stuff.
I brought in a horse as a prospect and about a month later he started getting all colicky and stressed out and then started cribbing! I was in shock.. the vet suggested I out him on a gastric product and holy geeze. He's back to normal, stopped cribbing and looks great! 5 Stars.. I can't beleive that one little scoop of this stopped all the systoms immedietaly. Thanls
We had a horse who would get very nervous trailering, and had a large sample of this from Horseworld Expo. In lieu of sucralfate, or gastroguard, I started giving him this two days before, day of, two days after any trailer trip, and it worked amazingly. He also scoped clear of any ulcers after doing this regiment. I wish it didn't contain the artificial color or the eugenol, but aside from that it is a great gut health supplement.
After treating for ulcers, I then use this product to help keep them away. I think I have seen results on many of my horses.
Got a free sample at a show and love it! Worked well for my mare with very minor ulcers. She's feeling better and back to her normal self. She's a quiet girl but I still noticed an attitude change before and after using this product.
U-7 I use daily, I was not happy with the smart pack purchase. I did not realize what it was I ordered. They show the big bucket size in the picture and that is what I was interested in. I use the liquid daily at dinner time and wanted to use the powder in the AM. I would not waste money on the "Smart Packs".
After several attempts to find a Gastric supplement that my horse would eat, U-7 Gastric Aid works and his symptoms are going away. I would recommend this supplement for your horse with ulcer/anxiety symptoms.
