Just got it about 3 weeks ago. Easy to put together. Started up quick and i found it quiet compared to other generators i had. I bought it for power outages so never had a chance to try it out. I hooked it to manual transfer switch and worked well on a trial run.
I bought same generator of other brand for $1000 more even with less features like remote control , fuel gauge etc. I had to return that generator. I had a issue with fireman regarding remote control. They are sending me new remote free of cost. Customers service is excellent at firemen. I will definitely recommend this generator to my friends.
I have an off grid homestead with a tool shed/workshop out building. My first thought was to go with a Generac but my contractor said they're only made for the occasional outage, not for heavy work. (Don't really know how true that is so I opted for a contractor generator). I have the generator wired into the house via a 50 amp transfer switch and an overhead service cable from the house to the workshop. I can work in the workshop and if I need more power I can turn the generator on via the remote switch from the workshop. The only hiccup was one day it didn't start. I called Firman, they asked me where I was. I told them. They asked me what elevation I was at. I told them. They told me I needed a high elevation jet, which they sent me FREE. No problem since.
Purchased the unit a year ago and i test it monthly. Turn the gas on, press the necessary on/off switch and then use either the remote control, manual starter or pull starter, starts first time every time. Haven't had to use it in an emergency yet but i'm ready. Because of the sheer size and weight of this type of generator i can't see anyone using it for camping or trying to move it around too much. This is strictly for your house or anywhere you can set it and only have to wheel it short distances on a flat stable surface.
Bought this for a household which loses power 2 to 3 times a year. Generator is so good I had not lost power for almost 2 years. After several months of running the generator for maintenance requirements I finally was able to use it for a power failure. Worked like a charm.
Lost power at 3 am due to a nearby tornado. The previously purchased unit was still in the box, uninstalled. Took about three hours for one person to install. The heavy weight of the unit presented the most difficult problem. A second person would have made the installation task a breeze. The unit ran flawlessly for two days until grid power was restored.
I bought this generator to power my entire house during a power outage. Out of the box the generator started right up. I tested the generator by hooking in up to my house and running everything I would need during an outage and it ran perfectly. It's good on gas and not to loud.
Will be using this generator to power my home in the event of an outage from a hurricane. The generator appears to be very well built and has all the features I was looking for. Love the large fuel tank and the electric/remote start. Based on other reviews I am hoping to see good run time per tank of gas. The unit was easy to assemble and the test runs and load tests I have put it through went well.
Love it. Easy to use instructions on paper and on the machine itself. Did the monthly run for 30 min and it was so easy to start first time. Haven't tried the remote yet, but will next month. Don't anticipate any problems with this machine and would certainly reccomend it.
Bought this for power outages! Came almost totally assembled and was very easy to finish with good instructions and all tools required. Did a trial run and it powered everything I need well pump, hot water tank, fridge, freezer, tv , Internet etc. Love the remote that will start the generator from inside the house! Only gave it four stars because I haven't got to use it on a real power outage yet!
