Great first aid kit that can fit in small/medium sized drawers at office/ home
Item meets the needs of our small business needs.
Over all the product is a great tool to have. Not happy how it was delivered as it has a sizable hole cracked in it, probably from shipping. Otherwise, I'm vary happy with it.
i buy this for my house. i have two toddlers here so we use it very often. i wish that there was room to add more cold compresses. it only holds one so i use it quickly. though it has everything you need and could want inside. i always add stickers to it to give my kids after their "boo boos" are all better. love this product. will continue to buy and recommend.
To be 100% honest, I got a Sam's membership to buy these kits (among other things). Let's everyone admit: First Aid Kits are ripoffs in terms of price. It's even possible that this one is too - because if you really try, you could put it together for less. But it's the cheapest CHEAPEST kit I could find in a decent hard box. And they're a great start. You can pay 3/4 of the price and get 1/4 of the items/value (or less). If you look everywhere else, these kits go for 3x the money. One important thing about First Aid Kits - they are a covered expense if you have an FSA account - so you can buy them with pre-tax money. And you can't really do that with the standalone supplies inside, if you bought them separately (though it might still be cheaper). I got 3 - one for each car and one to keep at home. I added a few things: a lighter, a cheap folding knife, some anti-allergy meds (really, if you think about it, something like generic Benadryl is more critical than some of the included meds - heartburn might not kill you, but anaphylaxis will). I like that there's room to add more stuff. I plan to add a metal tweezer, small bottle of hand sanitizer, more alcohol swabs (Sam's has a 400-pack for $3.98), iodine/povidone swabs, triple-antibiotic cream in a small tube, lip balm, insect repellent, sunscreen, activated charcoal, maybe even some cordage, even a small sewing kit. I know, this is a FAK and not a GHB, but if you are stranded for a few hours (but not abandoning your vehicle), all of those things might come in handy - roadside assistance trucks ALWAYS take HOURS. In the future I may just restock these with stuff I can get in bulk on the cheap and maybe not exactly following the same checklist, but it's so much easier to get these as a head-start.
Better then I thought it would be. I like the fact you can put it on the wall. My girlfriend was really impressed with all that it has inside.
We have used a similar first aid kit in our Scout Troop for years. It provides most of what is needed for minor injuries when afield. We have both Scouts and Leaders who are Wilderness and Remote First Aid Certified by the Red Cross. This kit covers 95% of the injuries they treat. They provide some of the additional items appropriate for their training like tourniquets, chest-seals, triangular bandages, etc. for catastrophic injuries. For most people with only minor training this kit is fully sufficient with the addition of a CPR breathing barrier.
I did quite a bit of research before choosing this first aid kit, and I am pleased with the purchase. The items aren't cheap versions, and there is extra room to add supplies. The one issue I have is that the contents don't match the description from the web site, so I didn't receive exactly what I expected. Here are actual amounts of supplies that differ from the site's description: 21 Antiseptic Towelettes 36 Alcohol Prep Pads NO Povidone Iodine Prep Pads NO Hydrocortisone Cream 10 Antacid Tablets 10 Aspirin Tablets 10 Non-Aspirin Tablets 2 First Aid Guides (one English and one Spanish) NO Adhesive Bandages (Metalic)-1"x3" 50 Adhesive Bandages-3/8"x1 1/2" 60 Adhesive Bandages-3"x3/4" NO Knuckle Bandages 8 Sterile Gauze Pads 2"x2" 4 Sterile Gauze Pads 4"x4" 30 Cotton Tip Applicators 5 Finger Splints NO Splinter Removers Everything else is accurate. I would have appreciated a list of the differences. Hopefully it helps someone else. Still, I am impressed with the item and would recommend it.
Well rounded first aid kit with very good coverage, but the plastic case doesn't have sufficient UV protection. I had it stored in the back of my SUV and in a year and a half the case became so brittle it just crumbled in my hands. So good first aid kit if you store it out of direct sunlight.
This Item came to me damaged and with an expiration date of 02/31/2022. Beware it's a third party vender that will not offer a replacement. I need to send it back get a refund and order another one from Office Depot Walmart can do nothing for me. Ordered from Walmart.com. Not happy and now I need to Waite until the end of the month to buy a new First Aid Kit.
