First Nature Red Ant Barrier for Hummingbird Feeder

I ordered this to replace the one that got broken during the windstorm a couple of weeks ago. While I was waiting for it to arrive, the ants were climbing up and down the chain in a continuous line -- emptied the feeder within a few days. I does need refilling every day because some birds hang down from the chain to drink from it, but they're fun to watch as well.

I would bet that more than 75% of those buying this product have a First Nature hummingbird feeder like I do, so I don't understand why they chose this color red, for it does not come close to matching the color of any of my First Nature hummingbird feeders. On the good side the holes are made large enough to accept the black plastic hook that all of my First Nature hummingbird feeders came with, and I feel that the same black plastic hook should come with this product.
