Did have an aftertaste, and I don't like that. With the fireball, they don't have the aftertaste, but they are hot hot hot. If you'd like cinnamon hot, they are hot.

Fire blast indeed!

anonymous July 17, 2025

I thought I had ordered the same bag as before. I did not mean to order fire blast. These are way too hot for me. They are not enjoyable. I like the original Atomic fire balls. I shall be more careful ordering them the next time. You cannot get fireball candy where I live. The hospital gift shops sell them individually. No place else has them.

Fake knockoffs! Gross

Robert October 13, 2025

Not the real Atomic Fireball brand candy! A similar, candy with a bad taste. These are actually hotter than the original candies. I didn't like these ones because they had a glossy finish over them and after sucking on them for a few minutes, the red color disappeared completely and the whole candy becomes white and doesn't taste good. The flavor / taste and texture is off completely. I don't like that they were advertised as the original Atomic Fireball brand candy, but instead I received a 2 pound bag of a knock off brand; a cheap copycat. These definitely do NOT taste good at all in my opinion. If you're looking for a super hot and spicy candy jawbreaker style candy, then I'd suggest getting a few pieces of this brand, BEFORE committing to this 2 pound bag. I tried about 4 or 5 pieces to make sure, and they ALL have the same identical bad aftertaste, unlike the real Atomic Fireballs that have a slightly bumpy coating with a hot flavor with a sweet aftertaste. These were extremely spicy and hardly any sweet flavor like the original ones, that offer heat and sweet, this candy was a mostly all hot experience but either an unpleasant taste. Candy is supposed to be sweet and this offered nothing but an expensive purchase for 2 pounds of a candy that I'm now stuck with, perhaps I'll hand them out for Halloween since they're individually wrapped. Buyer beware, make sure you purchase the real Atomic Fireballs, I was able to find them in the 15 cent candy section at my local Five Below store, to replace this yucky purchase.

Taste horrible; not like typical atomic fireballs

Kelli November 9, 2025

The usual fireballs we purchased were not in stock so we tried these. They tasted horrible and it was confirmed by friends of ours who ate one as well. Tried to return to local Walmart but they were purchased on walmart.com so could not be returned to the store. The information to make a return on walmart.com said there may be a fee from some sellers to make a return. We decided it was not worth the trouble and just threw them away and decided to take the hit on paying for something that went in the trash.

Way too uncomfortably hot!

Cynthia February 20, 2026

Red Hots are my fav but these are uncomfortably hot that I'm not able to enjoy them and, for some reason, the return window was incredibly short so I have to eat the cost. Shame.

Because this was the hottest Candy ever We had to get some water and take it out of our mouth a lot of times before we got finished with it.
