Wood has a smooth,almost seamless finish. Numerals nice, larger. Movement is smooth and quiet. Has a second hand. I think this will last more than a year unlike the others I got for less money. The movement on those was jerky and made noise. Never got more than a year out of them.

I rarely take time to write reviews, but in this case I'm happy to do it. I searched Walmart and other websites for an affordable, “just right” clock for our living room wall. When I saw this one, I thought it might work. It did! Before ordering, though, I measured the diameter on the wall to visualize how it might look and decided the measurements were about right. When I opened the well-packed box, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the clock, both in looks and function, and the measurements were perfect. The wood also matched my drapery rod (see picture, left), which was important to me.

Beautiful clock, great quality, looks elegant, and works well. Be sure you place the battery in the correct direction. It is difficult to find nice, genuine wooden clocks in this price range.

Very nice clock. Well made with a beautiful wood finish. I love the fact that the second hand just glides around the clock without a ticking sound for every second like my other clocks. That is the Whisper Technology. Very pleased.

I bought two of these clocks. They look great, but they both would get stuck and the second hand would just move a tiny bit while the minute and hour hands did not move at all. I threw out both clocks.
