Best peach jam!

anonymous May 15, 2026

My sister used to live in Fredericksburg. We loved to visit the town. Very charming. I remember the peach trees there and then I found this jam. Excellent on everything! The ingredient list reads like a family recipe. Simple and great. I mixed it with some hicory bbq sauce to brush on chicken. It was awesome.

not as sweet

Jessie February 8, 2026

I actually quite enjoyed this peach jam. it was not as sweet as the strawberry or the berry jams that ive had in the past. it is a great combo with salted butter and toast. i would come back for them! the only down side is that i wish it came with more and worth the value

Lacks peach flavor

Carrie May 19, 2024

I like that the first ingredient on the label is peaches, and there is no corn syrup in it. But I’m disappointed by the flavor. I can’t taste (or smell) peach.

too sweet, too much pectin

Anonymous November 8, 2025

I live near Fredericksburg and have been a Texas peach enthusiast my entire life. My family's been making our kitchen versions of jams, jellies, preserves, and fruit spreads since the mid-1840s, so we know a bit about Texas peaches. I especially enjoy giving homemade batches of native fruit spreadables and bags of native Pecans for holiday giving. That said, and even though we categorically love Fredericksburg peaches as well as our own, this fruit jam was not to our household likings. IMO, it's way too sweet. This overpowers the small pieces of actual fruit in the recipe. I could get by with it for a super sweet treat for my grandkids, but the texture of this formula is what turned me off. It's got way, way, way too much pectin! I thought I was eating sugary sweet peach gummies. Not for me. I'm glad I tried this local jam, but sad I won't be buying it again.

Not too Peachy

Annette May 8, 2025

I've tried this ham twice, so I know the product. First, there is little peach flavor. It tastes more like a generic fruit flavor. I did not taste or see any pieces of peaches in the jam at all. The Fredericksburg peach jam seems sweeter than most other jams. Finally, it is very thickly jelled, somewhat viscous unlike other jams that are more fluid. You can put a scoop of the jam on a spoon, turn the spoon upside down and that jam won't move a millimeter. See photo.

Not nearly enough peach flavor

Deb May 27, 2026

This only vaguely tastes like peaches. I was hoping for real peach flavor to come through but it doesn't. It's just sweet but otherwise mostly flavorless. Other brands are much better.

Flavorless sugar bomb

JMcW August 5, 2024

Absolutely zero flavor. Was actually surprised peaches were listed as the first ingredient. It tastes like sugar jam.

Bleh

Celeste April 18, 2026

I was excited to try this but was sadly disappointed once I tasted it. Right after opening the jar, the contents tasted awful, so I check the date on bottom. Bleh. They sold me expired jam. So much for trying new things.

No Flavor

Ackerman February 3, 2026

So sorry, but no flavor. I was so looking forward to a "local" jelly/jam especially the Peach from Fredricksburg, but if my eyes were closed for a taste testing, I wouldn't be able to tell what it was.
