Fish Mate 1500 Pond Pump - 1,450 Gallons per Hour

This pump exceeded my expectations in every respect. It was inexpensive, straightforward to set up, quiet, powerful, and so far immune to clogs from leaf litter. I couldn't ask for more.

We have had several filters over the years. This was has been the best so far. Easy to backwash and I have a waterfall with a 145 gallon backyard pond with fancy goldfish. The pond is a mostly shade pond but enough sun to produce algae. It has been clear with no problems since using this filter.

Our previous filter was discontinued and we could no longer find supplies for it. We began researching filters and decided to upgrade from the gravity filter we had always used to this. WOW! What a difference! The UV light in our old filter had stopped working and the pond turned green in a about a week, but this filter took over and cleared it up in about four days. Our pond is approximately 1800 gallons and this filter has no problem keeping it clean with a 1200 gph pump.

This is the best one I've had yet. I love that it squeezes the filter it's self on clean mode so I don't have to constantly remove them to clean ! And if you have ducks like I do , you know your pond will be disgusting in just s few hours . This is easy to use and doesn't even need to be plugged in !!! The water has stayed crystal clear and I'm less stressed about pond maintenance

This is my second one as first one that I have had for 6 years started a leak st the lid and wouldn't seal up. This works well on my 1000 gallon pond.

This my 2nd pond filter. The first one worked beautifully. So I decided to keep using something that had been tried and true fo me. Works wonderfully!!!

I have 8 ducks that swim in this pond daily. It's 110 gallons. They are the dirtiest creatures on earth, but every morning my pond is clean. I run a clean cycle every other day, but I have 8 ducks in it everyday and they are pooping machines. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because it did not come with gaskets and it leaked a little. I fixed the leaks with rubber bands.

Bought two of the filters. Good value for the money. Love the backwash feature which saves a lot of time for water changes to our aquarium tank and small preformed pond.One set had all the gaskets; the other was missing the backwash gasket which leaked.Contacted Vendor customer support and they mailed it to us

I do like this pump it cleared my pond up within a few hrs, I do wish it had a way clean the filters inside (as some have a handle you pull that compressed the filter to clear the build up).

This product works wonders - until it doesn't. UV bulbs should be changed every six months. The first time I attempted to remove the bulb, the plastic connector disintegrated, making it impossible to replace the bulb. Without a working UV bulb you lose the clarifying capability of the filter. Fishmate offers replacement parts for every other component of this filter, but not the part that powers the UV bulb. The warranty covers this but only for one year. After that, you are stuck buying a whole new filter. I've done that twice. Moving on to another product.
