A staple for beach fishing
Great for surf fishing. Used alone to catch all the whiting you could want. I also use a piece to hold my shrimp on. I don't think anybody fishes from the beach without having some on hand,

Not a substitute for live bait
Not much luck when I used this bait alone. Definitely not a substitute for live bait. I use it in combination with live or cut bait. The one good thing is that it stays on the hook.
