Fisher-Price Octonauts Gup-A & Barnacles Vehicle & Figure Playset

Bought this for my grandson and gave it to him last night while watching the show. He would not put it down and played with it for over 2 hours! He truly loved it!

So far all toys ordered , grandson has enjoyed & I have no complains!!

My grand-daughter loves the cartoon show, Octonauts, so buying her the "submarine" with the Captain character made Valentine's Day a hit. The submarine is very durable, can be played with in the bathtub or on the floor, and the Captain character is large enough for little toddler hands to play with. This is an excellent toy for imaginary play.

My son loves it plays in and out of the bath :)

My 3 and 4 year old kids (one girl and one boy) were spoiled at Christmas from the grandparents and got several really nice toys, but this Gup-A and the Octonaut figure set were their favs by far. They play with them in the bathtub, pool, and the gup and figures drain/dry off fast so they can play with them around the house. While the motion part of the toy is not anything impressive, the kids don't care at all. It is super durable and that is more important because my kids are rough in their play. You can fit lots of figures and creatures in the Gup, which kids like. The front plastic window does pop off on occasion, but I can pop it right back on. Rather that then it all out breaking as other toys have. The fins are more rubberish so they dont break. I don't hardly ever write reviews but seeing this get some bad ones, I really wanted to give the toy one it deserves. Also, on a side note, I have purchased the Safari brand toob of sea creatures and sharks to go along with the Octonauts and the kids love them for additional creatures to rescue. My 3 year old loves all the Fisher Price gups. Yes the doors do come off sometimes, but they go back on easily. He loves that he can play with them in and out of the bathtub. He loves to act out the episodes with the figures and send them on missions. I will be buying more gups.

I purchased this toy for my son but he does not like that he can not place the figures where he would like them. They do not stay put or stay up straight. The hatch has already come off. It would be better if there were more pegs for figures to stay on and if the hatches were more durable.

The description said to wind up and it speeds along in the the water. "Speeds along" lasted only 3 seconds. A big disappointment since my 4 year old granddaughter was really expecting to see it go all around the bathtub. The Gup-A kept filling up with water and sinking. Not worth the $24.99 we paid for it.
