this is a well built net for the price but only for shallow water. if you are needi g to catch bait deeper than 6 foot get a heavier net with like 1lb of lead weight per foot. only rhng i dont like is it has a. ery long main line. i havnt used it yet to see if im going to loke or dislike that!

Awesome net

Jake August 12, 2021

I live on the Indus River in New Smyrna Beach. Florida. This cast net is more durable than oysters. I wrapped an oyster stick the first night to throw a shorter distance from shore unless your cow was going to throw 30 to 40 yards, and it was fine to fall off the bridge, but there was no problem on the Florida coastline, so I would go ahead and give them a patent so put a rotator in a half-straight line so you could change the length and tie it better because it took me half an hour to straighten the line

It pays for itself ...

The $50 you spend on a bait shop is the same as the $50 you spend on that net +/-. Continue YouTube learning to throw it, practice in your backyard, surf or use it from your boat... Thank me later. Now you have the live natural bait that predatory fish are targeting... My only advice is to soak it in fabric softener overnight and rinse it thoroughly. This will help solve the problem and give you better performance.

Even an 80-year-old is prone to throwing

james m. April 23, 2019

My dad would go to the lake in Pennsylvania almost every night to catch Alewive. Very impressive, I know how to spell. It is simple and effective. He threw about 20 times without problems. Not only did he catch bait fish, but he also caught the fish he wanted to catch with the bait fish. Cheat!

Fragile but hooked

I have the Fitec RS750L, 4ft radius version and have used it many times to catch herring in local waters. It does catch hundreds of anchovies, but it also succumbs to vulnerability. After one month of use, the plastic ring on the top of the net cracked and cracked, making the net unusable. Unless Fitec strengthens the ring, I would say this pitch is a no-go.

It is only fully open 60% of the time due to tangles

Ric July 9, 2022

The 7' net is ultra-light when dry, but retains a lot of water weight after throwing. Looks durable relative to the single mesh I own, with a repair kit that I really like. The biggest problem was the repeated obstacle, where heavy loads were wrapped in guide wires, so the net could only be fully opened about 3 out of 5 throws. I tried multiple techniques, but it seems that a roadblock occurred while recycling, so it took a lot of effort to clean up between throws. I won't buy it again.
