I have been using these scissors for sewing for years. They are perfect for someone with arthritic hands because they open automatically. I like that they lock so little ones can't use or get hurt by them. The grip is soft enough so that my hand doesn't get blisters. My hands don't cramp when I use these scissors.
We harvest 50 pounds of wheatgrass a week with scissors. The spring back action is great and cuts down on hand fatigue. Super sharp....AND they come with a lifetime guarantee. Just doesn't get better than that!
Seem to be good. Haven't used them much yet. Debated these vs. stainless steel. Bought two of these. Good price.
Ease of use & durable. used a pair for almost 5 years in my job before I retired. Would still be using them but loaned them out and they never returned.
We saved tons buy getting online at Walmart.
I was so glad to have found a scissors that had a lever instead of the standard opening to insert the thumb to use the scissors. I get blisters on my thumb with heavy use and thick fabrics. So this one eliminates that problem with the lever, but the spring that is supposed to make the scissors open up again and the lever back in position for cutting, does not do the job well enough. I have to use a finger or two to push the lever up before cutting again. That is awkward and slows me down! I'm wondering if I can find a stronger spring to fit in the scissors. Suggestions, anyone? As with all Fiskars scissors, the blades are very sharp and cut well, but they are not as good at cutting and trimming to make a straight line cut as a regular steel scissors.
These scissors are great but I received 8 inch instead of them being 10 inch like advertised. I tried to get a hold of someone but they never contacted me when Walmart said someone would
I have two pairs of these scissors, and love the way they cut. I first purchased the older design, and when the lock finally stopped working, I was able to get a replacement pair. I am inclined to agree with other reviewer that the lock design seems flawed in the more recent version of these scissors. The lock on both pairs doesn't work--on one pair, it just doesn't lock; on the second, it will engage for a few minutes and then pop open randomly. I gave this product two stars mainly because the scissors themselves are great. I just wish the lock design were better!
I purchased a pair of your Titanium Easy Action™ Shears specifically because they were endorsed with the Arthritis Foundation's Ease of Use® commendation. As someone with arthritis, ease of use is very important to me. Unfortunately, the lock-tab that is supposed to keep the spring-action blades closed when not in use is defective. It does not stay in the locked position, leaving the blades open. The only way I can currently keep the handles closed is by wrapping a thick rubber band around them. This workaround is difficult and painful for my arthritic hand and defeats the purpose of the design. I am extremely disappointed in this product, especially considering its advertised benefits for people with arthritis. I hope you will honor your warranty and either repair or replace the shears. I ordered the black and orange sissors they send the white ones.
