Fiskars 28-inch Lopper with Forged Steel Blade and SoftGrip Handle

The Fiskars looper worked great cutting down a very small tree, It remained sharp when I cut down a rose bush. I would recommend the Fiskars looper it worked good on the tasks.

These are very nice. They cut well and I think will stand up good to heavy use.

I bought these for my mom for Christmas. She uses them throughout the year. They are really easy to use always use gloves when you're trimming your bushes.

The Fiskars Lopper is heavy duty, has a forged steel blade that should stay sharp longer, and can cut a large branch than most others. It also comes with a lifetime warranty and the price was very good.

Fiskars is the best for trimming around my yard

I am very pleased with this 28" angle head lopper from Fiskars. I already have two of the loppers in shorter lengths, and have been pleased with my prior two purchases. These newest Fiskars do not dissapoint. With the longer arms, angled head, and grips on the handles, I am able to reach higher and further without needing a ladder, and the angle head allows for cuts that the straight head loppers do not. These loppers are lightweight enough that when on the ladder, I am able to cut higher into trees and cut limbs that otherwise would be out of my reach. They perforrm to the standards of the Fiskars brand that I have trusted for years. I definitely recommend these for personal and professional use. I did not find anything about these Fiskars loppers that I did not like, except maybe that I stayed outside working longer because these were doing such a great job at cleaning up the trees of dead branches and the flowers and bushes of the dead growth.

I received the Fiskars Forged Lopper (28") about 1 1/2 weeks ago - I live in central Texas and we have Yaupon trees - if you are not familiar let me just say that their roots are very long and intertwined - there is as much of the plant underground as there is above and they are (almost) impossible to eradicate and they need to be destroyed because they choke out all of the surrounding trees and plants if not. I spend weeks every year trying to keep the Yaupons controlled with cutting and poisoning and the Fiskars Forged Lopper is my favorite tool. You can get up close and cut each of the roots in order to apply the poison which is the best way to eliminate them. I bought the same pair with telescoping arms and don't like them near as much as these.

These Fiskars Loppers are made very well, not flimsy like most you see out there. I had no trouble cutting through some pretty tough limbs, I cleared the brush that had overgrown down the sides of my driveway and never had any trouble with these loppers. They never got stuck and never failed to completely cut through anything I used them on. Most the brush limbs were about as big around as a quarter and the Fiskar loppers just went through them with ease. They seem good and sturdy and are sure to last a long while. These are great for anyone that needs a good sturdy pair of loppers around the yard.

I don't have dozens of trees and bushes in my yard, but those that I have do need some pruning of dead branches, so I was excited to get these loppers. Upon first examination, I noted the handles might be a weak point, as they are just tubular steel. The example branch I cut for the pictures was 1" in diameter, and I didn't place the branch in the bottom of the jaws for maximum leverage, so I could see how much effort was required. The cut wasn't as easy as I'd hoped for, and I needed a lot of force to make it. However, the cut was very clean. I can't speak as to the longevity of the sharpness of the blades, as I haven't owned it long enough.
