This is one of my most useful and favorite tools. Its light weight and extension capability are so handy for trimming. Sharp cutter and sliding handle (no rope) are very well designed. By the way 8" -12" in the description is incorrect obviously. It should be 8' - 12' (feet not inches).
I purchased this for my husband for fathers day. It was delivered very fast (excellent service). We have some vines in our yard that are growing out of control and my husband loves this product. I call it his "toy" . He is always cutting and pruning something in the yard. He loves it. It works exactly as stated and came ready to cut. I also helped in the yard by cutting back some unwanted trees. It is easy to operate and I feel safe using it since I do not have to go close to the little trees to prune them. Therefore, I do not have to worry about snakes, or what ever is hiding under the small trees (smile). I also love this product. I highly recommend it for anyone who loves to work in the yard.
This pruning stick is everything I was hoping for, and more. The ability to change the angle of the pruner is a great help, I like the pull-down stik as opposed to the rope type pruners and this one even extends. Well made and a great help for keeping me one the ground for pruning several fruit trees!
Product has been discontinued by manufacturer. Walmart still has it listed as available. I had owned this product previously which was destroyed in a structure fire. So thankful I could find a replacement. I primarily use this product to maintain a small (60 tree) fruit tree orchard. Design made cutting high branches very easy. Advertised as "rope free" which is not entirely true, flat rope is contained entirely within the unit no matter what length you have it extended to. Pivoting cutting head allows for clean cutting of almost any branch. Unit is easy to get to any reachable branch without getting tangled. Jaw design also works well to pull cut branch out of tree if it is unable to fall on its own. Large capacity jaws reduce the need to go looking for a pole saw.
Very easy shopping on WalMart's site, and everything was flawless! This is a replacement of this excellent trimmer.
It's light weight, strong, sharp extendable and a breeze to use. Rope is built into the pole making it easy to operate pruner with both hands. There is a saw attachment for cutting through larger branches. All in one pruner - which I had discovered this pole pruner earlier before before purchasing a hand pruner
Really well made, looks like it will be a lifetime tool. Works well, easy to use. The saw blade is extremely sharp and cuts easily through large dead apple limbs.
Great extendable limb trimmer. Having the pull rope built into the pole is much better than the type of trimmer that has a separate rope. You can keep both hands on the pole as you pull to activate the trimmer. I had an earlier version of this trimmer for many years and I would definitely recommend this model.
This is one of the best products I've ever purchased. After several years the rope broke and Fiskars promptly replaced the entire unit. Kudos to Fiskars for standing behind their profuse and honoring the lifetime warranty. It is so rare these days so I truly appreciate this. Unfortunately Fiskars had discontinued this product. It's still available though so get one before they're all gone. I intend to. Fiskars: Please bring this design back. The new one is not good.
This pruner doesn't work. I'm so disappointed because the trees are in dire need of trimming. We've tried several times. The pruner blades will close when the handle is pulled down, but they won't cut. My husband and I have spent a few hours with it, trying to get it to work. There's nothing obvious and the pruner looks like the picture. So I tried contacting Fiskar's. There's no phone number on their website, so I tried their customer service form. Twice, after filling it out and attaching a picture, the form failed to go through. I got error messages. On April 27th, 2013, I sent an email to their warranty department. This was suggested to me when I messaged Fiskar's Facebook profile. It went through and I got a canned response back with a claim number. So at this point, I'm waiting for some type of correspondence with a human employee. I'm kicking myself for not looking at the BBB file on this company. Lots and lots of customer complaints. I looked at Trustpilot also, and the reviews are about half positive, half negative. I paid over $100 for this tool so I hope we can resolve this. I will try to update this review if and when there's some kind of progress on this claim.
