These Fiskar scissors are just like the ones I used in my junior high school Home Economics class over 50 years ago before plastic handle scissors became popular. They are 8 inches of heavy duty forged stainless steel and cut through multiple layers of cloth and paper like butter. There is no kinking of the fabric or wrapping paper while cutting. Just sharp smooth straight through cutting every time. They are comfortable in my hand and feel solid, not like those plastic handle scissors that usually break after awhile. If you're looking for quality scissors for all your sewing and crafting projects that are sharp, durable, reliable and will last for years this is the scissor to buy.
I got these just today and I'm already in love with them! They are nice and heavy weight, super sturdy and sharp. They remind me of the ones my Grandmother had on her sewing table. No doubt they will be a pair I will guard like a goblin's treasure. No one else will touch my precious forged Scissors.
I LOVE these scissors. They work right through everything with ease. They have a lifetime guarantee and are definitely built to last. I cut right through adjustable/sizable, vinyl blinds with such ease. I cut straight through styrofoam, no problem. These are the best crafter scissors I have ever had the pleasure of using. I can't say enough great things about them. Impressive! A MUST for ANY type of crafter!
Quality. I love the USA made Fiskars forged stainless steel craft scissors. The weight, the balance and that they are sharp sharp! They remind me of the ones my mother had. These have an adjustable screw, which I prefer for different mediums. Plus they can be sharpened professionally if needed. They went through some heavy denim without any issues. My hands do not get fatigued from using. Perfect! So tired of disposable items. These will last a lifetime, and in fact, they come with a lifetime guarantee.
Fiskars scissors is the only brand of scissors that I buy for cutting fabric. They stay sharp, gives a smooth look %26 that makes it easy to get my projects done.
I had a set for years. The screw wore out so I bought another set. They are positively dependable for all kinds of needs. I still have my old set. If buy the replacement screw if I could find it. They still work better than a new set of generic scissors!!
love these professional sewing scissors and will use them often for my pattern, fabric and seing needs.
These scissors cut every thing well, they don't bend and chew heavy fabric, they just cut cleanly. It is nice to use quality for a change. No cheap plastic handles to break or loosen , I wonder if they make a serrated model?
so much better at cutting fabric than the kitchen scissors I was using
Our household has been putting up with dull, difficult to use scissors for a long time. I don't know why exactly, but it probably has to do with simply not paying any attention to them. We've had the same 3 pair of dull scissors in our "junk" drawer, her sewing kit and my tool box for as long as I can remember. I recently had the opportunity to pick up a pair of these formidable looking scissors from Fiskars. When I saw what they looked like and read what they were made from, I jumped at the chance to get them. I like the solid stainless steel construction. I like the sense of heft you get when you pick them up. And I particularly like how sharp they are. Hot knife through butter sharp! The only thing that keeps them from approaching true perfection is that they're not as comfortable to grip when in use as I would like. But this is not a major beef because they cut so well that you don't need to spend much time holding them. My wife will have custody. She participates in the making of her own clothing, so that's where the need is greatest.
