Looks good.
I was dreading having to cut a lot of colored paper circles in different sizes. I picked up the Fiskars Circle Cutter and I'm so glad I did. Before I started to use it, I did go to the website and saw the reviews. After a few minutes of thinking about all the issues, I pulled out my Cricut Sticky Mat Cutter and applied my paper to it. I held the mat down with my knee and whipped out 8 circles without a hitch. I love it also because I can cut circles up to 8 inches. It's perfect for my project!!!!
Works great
It will definitely help cutting out circles BUT there aren't any guides to cut a particular circle. So I can cut 1” or 3” or whatever circles all day long but if I'm trying to cut out a circular piece for an art craft for students it isn't as easy. Better if it had some type of guide to be able to line up with my picture.
The control knob needs to be transparent instead of orange - can't position alignment needle precisely. I'm trying to cut out printed 1" diameter circles and although I can "sort of" align the needle, even after practicing I'm unable to precisely position it. I cannot make an alignment mark on the circles - I need to be able to see the alignment needle. Other than that, the tool would be ok for what I need even though it's quite expensive.
I bought this to cut for sublimation paper and cutting circles to use with a heat press machine. I couldn't figure out the instructions and went on the website. The reviews weren't good. I did look at the pictures and the instructions were bad to nonexistent. I played around and did get it to work. It's not quite as complicated as the pictures make it look. Play with the amount of pressure you use to hold it in place. More isn't better. Something on the bottom to keep it from moving around would be helpful. I wouldn't use it for things you need to get precise but it's quicker than using a scissors for sure. I'll keep using.
Pretty flimsy. You have to press so very hard to keep the photo or item you're cutting from spinning with the cutter, and you have to make several passes to get it to cut all the way through and around. Especially if the cutting mat is at all uneven. Very frustrating. Work great when all the stars are aligned! One other down side is that the numbers and marks are all clear so it's super difficult to see them when you're trying to line it up to size your cut!
Purchased for a craft project where hole punches the size I wanted were not available. I did manage to sort out how to use it. Be wary of the 'instructions' on this webpage. They are incorrect & incomplete. There is no mention of where to find the diameter setting, that the paper must be taped down, nor that a repeat cut may be necessary to insure the blade made the cut. Generally, I good idea with bad execution and limited quality.
The product appears to be used. The packaging is all stapled together and there is a blade missing. I needed it for a project immediately so I didn't return it but I won't buy again from this vendor.
Horrible instructions. (See below) Clockwise or counterclockwise depends on how you're holding the thing. Arrows would be very helpful. Go to YouTube if you bought this thing. 2. Changing circle size Turn the wheel lock counterclockwise until the cutting arm slides freely. Slide the arm to the desired size and then relock it in place by tightening the wheel lock. Do not over-tighten.
