Fiskars Student 7 Inch Scissors, Red

Bought these for my 10 year old and at first I thought they might be too big for his hands or fingers but I was ultimately surprised that they are the perfect size. When cutting paper etc... they glide with ease. I would definitely buy these if you have an older elementary kid or middle school kid.

These small Fiskars scissors are a good size for many tasks around the home. This pair was purchased to replace my previous Fiskars after my puppy decided to create her own chew toy. Photo of the old scissors just for laughs.

The Fiskars Student Scissors (7 in.) say they are for ages 12+, but we tested them out with my 9 year old and they were actually a great fit for him as well. From a size perspective these scissors will fit most hands ages 8+, although because they are a bit sharp that might be why the age recommendation is higher. However, they are still large enough for most adults to use as well. At the time of this review my scissors are fresh out of the box so they are nice and sharp and work better than any of my older scissors. The handle is smooth, and cutting paper and fabric is a breeze. They appear built to last and I expect to get many years of use out of these scissors. Fiskars is a top brand in scissors so you can feel confident with your purchase, and I recommend these scissors for your student!

these are nice scissors, and they are ambidextrous in case you have a lefty in your family, as we do. the only reason for four stars instead of five is I don't feel they're as smooth as some other scissors from a different brand that I have. but, because they are fiskars brand, I don't mind using them since they have a lifetime guarantee. I've had to have a couple of fiskars brand things replaced over the years and the company is very good at taking care of warranty issues. I do recommend these.

Kind of sharp tip. Great for sixth graders and up ok price got it on sale. Easy to open %26 shut them.

Very stiff handles. Tried to back off screw to loosen then blades became wobbly and would not cut. CHEAP!
