I bought it to use with a different blade. A scoring ‘blade.' It works great.
This is a very nice cutter/trimmer. Easy to use and very accurate lines. Light weight yet very durable. Now granted, get a few sheets of blank paper, put a few mark's on them and get a feel of that wire cutting guide and you will be zipping along ln no time.
And this is by far my favorite. I have somewhat limited use of my hands/arms and any of the trimmers larger than the 9" was difficult to manage. The blade would shift with pressure while attempting to make precise cuts. This model has a metal wire than runs in a track, and it keeps the cut from wavering by steadying the blade. This won't replace your larger trimmers meant for 12x12" scrapbook paper, but it is a minor inconvenience to me to lose a larger cut for a more steady cut. I even raise the arm with the cutting blade and use the blade-track when I need to emboss a long line that will be folded. I'm sure it won't fit all needs, but it more than fits mine so I'd happily recommend its purchase. Enjoy!
I use this for cutting my cardstock for my card making. Slices very nicely 👌
Just bought my second one…my daughter likes borrowing mine!
Recently bought the trimmer for scrapbooking tasks. Cheapest price I've found that can't be beat. Excellent quality: cuts really smoothly and easily (even with multiple cardstock papers/scrapbook papers/photos). Beautiful cutting board and sturdy. Not so great on a single printing paper. Absolutely love it! I hope it holds up!
I found this while looking online. It was just what I was looking for to trim some of my daughters certificates
I got this to help with clipping coupons...it works pretty good when only cut 8 pages at a time...but sometimes it will rip the page instead of cut it...if you plan on cutting a page long ways, you need a bigger one, it will barely fit lengthwise and you still have to rip apart the ends...it's perfect for cutting sideways pages though...but if I hadn't bought 2 of this one, I would have bought the bigger one...considering I'm using it to clip about 130 coupon inserts a month...sometimes more...I am happy for now with this but will be getting a bigger one later on
Love it. Great for cutting watercolor paper to fit into picture frames. Portable and easy to store.
Bought to trim photos. Doesn't do well for fine trimming. Cut isn't perfectly straight and the "guide" is hard to use. Can't trim "just a hair' off without folding the paper or wandering. But, it didn't cost much either. Bought a "real" rotary trimmer to do the job properly. It cost 10x as much but was well worth the price.
