A very nice fit bit its flexible and very adjustable works well and you forget its there basic black was great for me seems to take a bit of a beating and have no issues at all still getting used to it but like it alot
Technology today is so cool it helps us make the right choices we failed to make in the past. Fitbit helps us get motivated and ready to make changes. It calculates my all day activity and also keeps track of my sleep habits, if you're tired then you will not perform. Very easy to set up and the app is very easy to download. You also can sync to all your devices to keep track of your new life. This makes it so easy to figure out if you need to push it more or pace yourself at a better level. Amazing product and a lifesaver of a gift. Now it's time for you to help yourself become better.
I ordered the Fitbit Alta in plum I love it! It is lightweight like a bracelet; I hardly know it is there. It is very interesting in the data this little cutie provided. I am walking to lose weight and I look forward to reading steps, calories burned and so on.
We've tested this fitbit for a couple weeks now. We really like it. Having a fitbit with a face on it is so much better than having one without. You can simply check the time and date or scroll through to see steps taken, distance walked, calories burned, etc. The app it works through has also been very user friendly. You simply sync your fitbit via bluetooth and set up your account. When you go back out detects your fitbit and gives you your info. We haven't had any issues using it so far. We like the silicone material for the wristband and that it's adjustable. The band that holds the strap in did frustrate my husband a little but he figured it out. It charges pretty quickly and holds the charge for a good amount of time. The packaging it came in was just simply a box packaged up well and the basics you need...fitbit, charger, wristband, instructions. We are overall very pleased so far as feel it's a good thing to have for people who want to be more mindful of their health.

I purchased the Alta a month ago and have thoroughly enjoy it!! I have one complaint however and that's regarding the band!!! It's a terrible system for the amount you pay!!! If you do not get it done up correctly you may loose it!! And it is very difficult to put on by yourself for this reason!! They should all be watch band style!!
I was excited to receive the Fitbit Altra . I see so many people with this stylish slim band on their wrists I see both men and woman sporting their Fitbit bands I read up on the Fitbit and felt it would be good to track my movement. I have asthma and carry extra pounds . This is a perfect devise to get me moving. Now that I have it and downloaded the manual. I now know you can set the Fitbit to vibrate to let you know it is time to get moving. I have just walked around the house and see how fast the steps add up Fitbit.com recommends 10,000 steps a day. Right now my goal is half of that but, that is more than I was doing last week. I really like this technical gadget but...... and I hope the makers of Fitbit are listening. The buttons are AWFUL , HARD TO ATTACH. Hubby and I spent 40 minutes the other day trying to get it to SNAP right now it is sort of flapping around on my wrist. HOW ABOUT A GOOD OLD FASHIONED BUCKLE ?? I know people in the techie world feel everybody can decipher how to set Up computerized devices but ... The older generation that can really benefit from products like these will either never buy them, bring them back for a refund or as I felt like doing was to just throw it out the window I can read, I can follow directions, and I can navigate a computer . But I just could not get the Fitbit up and running. I called my grandson and asked if he could navigate the directions. We discovered we could not sync it to my Apple Tablet. Oh yes after struggling we did find somewhere that an Android did not mean IPad ! We then tried my PC, was suppose to be able to sync or connect the wi fi there. Been over a week still not connected there. Final try was the Smartphone. I have an inexpensive one but, at last we were finally able to connect.... Very frustrating, with all the technology connecting the Fitbit Altra should be easier .... Maybe a survey on how much money was lost because people just could not connect.. Or maybe an easy to locate contact phone number. for Fitbit. Will I recommend the Fit yes but, I will advise the buyer have access to a computer person.
First off,I'm 67 and not real tech savvy person. That being said this is my own review of a fitbit altra. Pros: Once you figure out how to set it up,it does do everything it is supposed to. Has a nice look and is very comfortable to wear. Also,it was packaged very well. Cons: Where to start with for the cons.First off, there are no instruction with this product except for that black card in picture. No info about how to even turn it on.You have a choice of how to set it up. One way was on your cell phone the other is on your computer. When I read how it doesn't work very well on a PC running Windows 10, I chose to use cell phone.Said to connect fitbit to computer, turn it on and connect. The problem was it has several fitbit altra to choose from.I picked one and it wouldn't connect. I then tried the PC method and chose a different altra setup. This was the correct one. It said to plug in the "Dongle" first. Something which was in the box but not explained. Once that was plugged in I was able to set up the fitbit. Wasted over an hour for what should have been done in twenty minutes had they given a description of everything in the box. The person who designed the wrist band on this unit should be shot.It is very hard to get fastened. You can see in the picture below you have to line up 2 pins to go into 2 holes while trying to hold it on your wrist.I have small hands for a guy and it it hard to fasten unless you get a finger under the band. My wife has a similar band but it has a single wedge type pin that goes into only a single hole. So much easier to use. In spite of all my Cons,I do like this device and I would recommend this product.
The charger arrived broken and the battery life did not extend beyond 3 hours which is unlike what I'm used to for a fitbit. I think i was given a defective product for sure.
Device came defective. Right out the box would not turn on so I assumed it needed to be charged, plugged it in and it was at 70 charged it as full as it could for 3 hours would not go over 80%. I took it off the charger figuring it would work still since it had battery life and it would not turn on at all. Will be returning it.
