A very nice fit bit its flexible and very adjustable works well and you forget its there basic black was great for me seems to take a bit of a beating and have no issues at all still getting used to it but like it alot
Technology today is so cool it helps us make the right choices we failed to make in the past. Fitbit helps us get motivated and ready to make changes. It calculates my all day activity and also keeps track of my sleep habits, if you're tired then you will not perform. Very easy to set up and the app is very easy to download. You also can sync to all your devices to keep track of your new life. This makes it so easy to figure out if you need to push it more or pace yourself at a better level. Amazing product and a lifesaver of a gift. Now it's time for you to help yourself become better.
I had a fitbit flex and lost it so, I decided to get the alta. I love it !! I love the digital display so that I can see my steps, time, distance and everything without having to look at my phone. Love that you can change the bands too. I bought several ones that close like a watch since that's easier for me. The price is excellent and it does everything the expensive ones do except tell you your heart rate. I love the fact that I can get my text messages, notifications and, know who is calling me just by looking at my wrist also.
Sleek, fits well and feels very secure on my wrist. I have been looking forward to getting the Fitbit Alta to help me get moving and doing a better job of taking care of me. The Fitbit came with everything you need and it was very easy to set up. Had to charge the Fitbit which maybe took 30 minutes. While it was charging I got the app I needed and just followed the easy set up instructions, pretty simple. It tracks you steps which you can adjust to how many per day you would like to set as you goal. Track your water intake, and you can track your calories you intake during the day. I've always been curious how I sleep and if I get a good nights sleep or not. It tells you how long you have slept, how many times you are restless and how many times your awake, which I found interesting. Your Fitbit will alert you with a tickle (vibrate) to let you know you have a incoming phone call or text message. I believe you need your phone by you for that which I most of the time have it near me. It will tickle you to get up and move too a big plus. I was surprised that I get move steps in then I thought. Just twist your wrist a towards you and the Fitbit will display the time and date, with a tap you see your step total, how far you have walked, how many minutes you have been active along with the calories you have burned. Very happy with the Fitbit Alta.
We've tested this fitbit for a couple weeks now. We really like it. Having a fitbit with a face on it is so much better than having one without. You can simply check the time and date or scroll through to see steps taken, distance walked, calories burned, etc. The app it works through has also been very user friendly. You simply sync your fitbit via bluetooth and set up your account. When you go back out detects your fitbit and gives you your info. We haven't had any issues using it so far. We like the silicone material for the wristband and that it's adjustable. The band that holds the strap in did frustrate my husband a little but he figured it out. It charges pretty quickly and holds the charge for a good amount of time. The packaging it came in was just simply a box packaged up well and the basics you need...fitbit, charger, wristband, instructions. We are overall very pleased so far as feel it's a good thing to have for people who want to be more mindful of their health.

I do love it, but I discovered yesterday while shopping, if my arms are not swinging it's not recording me walking! I must have walked for an hour in the store, but my hands were on the shopping cart! So no goals for me were reached! But still a nice reminder to get up and move!
Happy with this product, I just love it! Its helping me realize what I need work in, how much I move around and don't, the reminders help me to get up off my booty and get some walking or exercising done! I love the sleep log it shows me how much sleep I'm actually getting and an average per week. This product is awesome!
I was excited to receive the Fitbit Altra . I see so many people with this stylish slim band on their wrists I see both men and woman sporting their Fitbit bands I read up on the Fitbit and felt it would be good to track my movement. I have asthma and carry extra pounds . This is a perfect devise to get me moving. Now that I have it and downloaded the manual. I now know you can set the Fitbit to vibrate to let you know it is time to get moving. I have just walked around the house and see how fast the steps add up Fitbit.com recommends 10,000 steps a day. Right now my goal is half of that but, that is more than I was doing last week. I really like this technical gadget but...... and I hope the makers of Fitbit are listening. The buttons are AWFUL , HARD TO ATTACH. Hubby and I spent 40 minutes the other day trying to get it to SNAP right now it is sort of flapping around on my wrist. HOW ABOUT A GOOD OLD FASHIONED BUCKLE ?? I know people in the techie world feel everybody can decipher how to set Up computerized devices but ... The older generation that can really benefit from products like these will either never buy them, bring them back for a refund or as I felt like doing was to just throw it out the window I can read, I can follow directions, and I can navigate a computer . But I just could not get the Fitbit up and running. I called my grandson and asked if he could navigate the directions. We discovered we could not sync it to my Apple Tablet. Oh yes after struggling we did find somewhere that an Android did not mean IPad ! We then tried my PC, was suppose to be able to sync or connect the wi fi there. Been over a week still not connected there. Final try was the Smartphone. I have an inexpensive one but, at last we were finally able to connect.... Very frustrating, with all the technology connecting the Fitbit Altra should be easier .... Maybe a survey on how much money was lost because people just could not connect.. Or maybe an easy to locate contact phone number. for Fitbit. Will I recommend the Fit yes but, I will advise the buyer have access to a computer person.
First off,I'm 67 and not real tech savvy person. That being said this is my own review of a fitbit altra. Pros: Once you figure out how to set it up,it does do everything it is supposed to. Has a nice look and is very comfortable to wear. Also,it was packaged very well. Cons: Where to start with for the cons.First off, there are no instruction with this product except for that black card in picture. No info about how to even turn it on.You have a choice of how to set it up. One way was on your cell phone the other is on your computer. When I read how it doesn't work very well on a PC running Windows 10, I chose to use cell phone.Said to connect fitbit to computer, turn it on and connect. The problem was it has several fitbit altra to choose from.I picked one and it wouldn't connect. I then tried the PC method and chose a different altra setup. This was the correct one. It said to plug in the "Dongle" first. Something which was in the box but not explained. Once that was plugged in I was able to set up the fitbit. Wasted over an hour for what should have been done in twenty minutes had they given a description of everything in the box. The person who designed the wrist band on this unit should be shot.It is very hard to get fastened. You can see in the picture below you have to line up 2 pins to go into 2 holes while trying to hold it on your wrist.I have small hands for a guy and it it hard to fasten unless you get a finger under the band. My wife has a similar band but it has a single wedge type pin that goes into only a single hole. So much easier to use. In spite of all my Cons,I do like this device and I would recommend this product.
