So many functions and reasons to use it

CaliCutie December 1, 2017

If you live in a rural area without a state of the art gym, if you are into the latest 10,000 step a day craze, if you can't find a reliable workout buddy, if you are trying to drop a stubborn 20 pounds, if you hit that certain age where you need to watch your diet and activity levels more closely or if you are just one of the folks that charts every aspect of their diet and life in general so long as you have your smart phone and internet this can be the answer to your prayers. This has many uses from tracking your activity levels, reminding you to move, keeping track of your sleep, tracking your calories, tracking your fluid intake and tracking the number of steps you take. It's super simple to get started by choosing the smaller or the larger band, charging the battery using the USB adapter (included) and downloading the phone app. On top of the multitude of functions with the app you also gain access to an entire community of other users. You can set goals for yourself on the app for the hours of sleep per night, calories burned, caloric intake to the steps you take daily. Using the app you can connect with real life friends or other members of the community to do "challenges" and help each other reach your goals by motivating each other. You can literally live in the middle of nowhere and still find a workout partner using this. The bracelets are water resistant as well so you can swim with them. The only downside to the system is even though you can swim wearing them they say you need to thoroughly dry them off after and the device constantly syncs to your phone so on my worst or most active day my battery died three times faster on my smartphone than it does with no device. With the number of uses and functions and the ability to always have someone else to motivate you to get or keep moving you literally have no excuse to not get fit and stay fit.

Everybody should own one!

mamislade November 20, 2017

I don't know how I ever lived without the Fitbit Flex 2 Swim Proof Activity Tracker! I love it. This is my first experience with any type of fitness tracker. I'm glad I started with this one (hopefully it will last a long time!) This system comes with two wristbands (small and large), a charging cable, and the tracker. It works with IOS, Android and Window devices. It is simple to set up/charge. Once the tracker is charged, just slip it into the wristband. The wristband is extremely comfortable and lightweight, you will not even notice you're wearing it. Once you install the app, follow instructions on setting up any type of program or schedule of your choice. It is very simple, and you will be amazed at how active (or inactive) your are. It even notifies you when you get a text or email on your phone. Fitbit offers a one to two year warranty, depending on normal wear and tear.

Water Proof Fitness Tracker For Swimmers!

ShakespeareGal December 7, 2017

I have never had a tracker device before for when I do my laps in the pool. This Fitbit Flex 2 Swim Proof Activity Tracker has so many great features that track movement and exercise but as a lap swimmer this is fantastic. I hate counting my laps especially when I lose my place and with this I don't feel the need anymore to keep track and can just concentrate on swimming which makes it more relaxing. It really is a great technology for swimmers!

No frills, sleek design AND water proof!

LexBuyer December 4, 2017

I have been using fibits for 2+ years now. I wear it religiously and track my steps everyday. Fitbits in general are easy to use and the setup is very easy. I love the phone app because of ease of use, and I love to do challenges with friends who also own fitbits. That way I can keep myself motivated, especially through the winter months. I credit the Fitbit with keeping me fit through the winter, when it is so hard to make it to the gym. On days I find my steps lagging, I am motivated to drag myself to the gym or a walk to make the step count halfway decent. One summer I paired it with a really strict diet and I was able to shed my stubborn 15 lbs to get to my target weight. Then I gradually put back on 4 lbs during the winter, but I think it really helps. Diet is also key of course. Now coming to the specifics of this fitbit - the Flex. Pros: - The only one that is waterproof and can be used for swimming. - Sleekest of the fitbits out there and the easiest to dress up as jewelry. Plenty of fancy jewelry options including pendants so you can wear it around your neck instead of the wrist. - Step count is the same as the other fitbits - its not exact, but overall I find it good for my use. I don't see a big difference with the other fitbits either. - Low cost : It gives you the steps which is what matters to me the most for a pretty good price point. - Well made and should last a while like my older fitbits. Fitbit also has great customer support. - Has sleep tracking built in - very nice at this price. Cons: - Does not have a heart rate monitor , for that you need to go to a higher price point. - Also no built in GPS - go to a higher price point - No display: you can view this as a pro or a con - its up to you. I am used to the fitbit Charge which has the time display and step display. But this sacrifices the display for a sleeker design. You can always see the statistics on the phone app. I will also be writing a review for the Fitbit Alta. Be sure to see that too, if you'd like to compare the fitbits. I have a picture that shows the Alta (black with display), Flex (Black , no display) and Charge HR (Gen1) in purple. You can see the comparable size difference. Overall you cannot go wrong with a fitbit for fitness tracking!

Fitbit Flex 2 is great for active people

MissDainty October 31, 2016

I really like this Fitbit Flex 2, because I will be able to wear it, when I go swimming. Since it can be worn in a pool or in the shower. You just have to dry it out completely after it gets wet though. I also liked that it came with the 2 different size bracelets (small & large), so that you can wear the one you fit.

Worry free tracker.

90125 November 25, 2017

The Fitbit Flex 2 is the ideal choice for people who love water sports and don't need to worry about removing it for the shower. It comes with a small band and large band to insert the Fitbit Flex 2 into so anyone can wear it. Each band has about 10 notches and is more of a flexible rubber band that isn't elastic so it is very comfortable. You can even hide the Fitbit Flex 2 in a pendant or slip it into a clip to fully match your mood or fashion style at the time. It is so slim and sleek that I forgot I was wearing it. I really like how this just becomes a part of my life. You can choose one of three ways to setup and communicate with the Fitbit based on your network. The first option to connect is to download the Fitbit app to your mobile device and synch up the Fitbit by registering online. The next is to download the app to your computer and communicate via Bluetooth. If you want to just connect via Wi-Fi then you need to purchase a Fitbit Dongle but it has to be a link without requiring a password. I really love that the Fitbit app gives you all the feedback you need to be healthier. You can set goals based on your movement to help make easy choices to burn more calories. It has some nice features to motivate you with challenges. The Fitbit app will even tell you how much you slept each night and wake you with a strong vibration so you won't need to hear that alarm clock. Your phone can even alert you thru the Fitbit with a vibration and LED lights so you know when you really need to pick it up. This feature works great when you are required to turn your phone off.

Fitbit

odis64 January 28, 2018

I love this fitbit. It came with a purple band that is flexible and has many holes for fitting. It came with a charger plug and plugs into an android phone plug. It charges quickly and stays charged for approximately 3 days. It tracks your steps and your sleep patterns. It is comfortable, so much so that I often forget I have it on. You can enter your exercise for the day and how many glasses of water you had to drink and it keeps track of everything. It also syncs with my android phone and when I get a text or call it vibrates to let me know. I highly recommend this. It is also waterproof which is fabulous because several times I forgot I had it on and got in the shower, no damage done. It has a lot of features for such a small thing. It has ways that you can add friends and compete as well to keep you motivated. I also downloaded the fitbit coach app which has exercise programs n there you can access.

FITBIT FLEX SWIM PROOF ACTIVITY TRACKER TRACKS CALORIES BURNED AND ACTIVE MINUTES. IT IS SWIM PROOF SO YOU CAN USE IT IN THE POOL, OCEAN OR SHOWER. TRACKS HOW WELL AND HOW LONG YOU SLEEP. YOU CAN ALSO SET AN ALARM WHICH WILL WAKE YOU UP BY VIBRATING. DIDN'T WORK FOR ME. MORE OF A DEEP SLEEPER I GUESS. YOU CAN ALSO GET CALL AND TEXT NOTIFICATIONS ON YOUR WRIST. IT WILL VIBRATE A CODE PATTERN AND COLOR LED LIGHTS. BLUE FOR CALLS AND PURPLE FOR TEXTS. YOUR PHONE HAS TO BE NEARBY THOUGH. HAVEN'T CHECKED OUT HOW CLOSE YOUR PHONE HAS TO BE FOR THIS FEATURE TO WORK. YOU ALSO RECEIVE REMINDERS TO MOVE BY A SMALL VIBRATION AND ORANGE LED LIGHT. IT HAS A SMART TRACK THAT RECOGNIZES CERTAIN WORK OUTS AND RECORDS THEM TO YOUR FITBIT APP. THESE INCLUDE RUNS, SPORTS ACTIVITY AND AEROBICS. THERE ARE DIFFERENT ACCESSORIES THAT YOU CAN WEAR THE FITBIT IN. YOU HAVE WRISTBANDS, BANGLES AND PENDANTS. MY FAVORITE IS EITHER THE BANGLE (BRACELET) OR PENDANT. I HAVE NOT BOUGHT EITHER ONE. MAYBE SANTA WILL! UNTIL THEN THE WRIST BAND WILL HAVE TO DO. I LIKE THE GOLD BRACELET THE BEST BUT IT IS EXPENSIVE. IT LOOKS VERY NICE AND COULD BE A DRESS UP, OR DRESS DOWN ITEM. THE STAINLESS STEEL ONE IS A BETTER, MORE PRACTICAL OPTION. THE PRICE IS VERY ACCEPTABLE AS WELL. HAVEN'T SEEN THE PENDANT COLORS IN PERSON BUT A NICE OPTION TO BE ABLE TO HAVE. ALSO AT A VERY REASONABLE PRICE. THE OPTIONS MAKE IT LOOK LIKE A DIFFERENT PIECE OF JEWELLERY EVERY TIME YOU WEAR IT.

Lightweight and Flexible

jeeps21 December 1, 2017

Fitbit flex 2 The fitbit flex 2 has a slim and lightweight design. The packaging is nice and organized, and comes with 2 size bands so 1 is sure to fit. It does not have all the bells and whistles but not everyone needs or wants them. This is a nice basic tracker. You set this up through the fitbit app, if you go to the website as in the setup instructions it tells you to download the app. Setting it up was very easy. It has many functions, counts your steps, tracks your exercise, reminds you to move, tracks your sleep, and allows you to track/log your food and beverages. It also vibrates when you have a call or new text message. It states that the battery will last 5 days and so far, it has lived up to that. Although it claims that it is swim proof I have not tested that however I have showered with mine on and it still works fine. Here is the fun part, it is interchangeable. You can purchase additional accessories like color wristbands, pendants and fashionable bracelet. So, if you do not want people to see you are wearing a fitness tracker they don't need to know. Although I cannot order my lunch or check my Facebook with this tracker it does what I need it to do. The lightweight and slim design is perfect, I forget I am wearing it.

Problems with Windows 10

CNPS November 30, 2017

I was so excited to get this fit bit to review. I am into heavy aquatic exercises and wanted the info stored to take to my doctor. Sadly, this will not be the case. When I took the fit bit out to insert the battery, i came across my first problem. The wristband is difficult to close onto the wrist. If you are an older person with any kind of arthritic issues, this IS an issue and becomes a two man job. I really liked seeing two sizes of wristbands included, but what good is it if you can not close the band without a lot of fuss, frustration and help. I do like the color of the band. It is sturdy but nicely flexible. I am not pleased about needing to share a button between the two sizes of the bands. As difficult as it is to close the band, removing and replacing the button, is more so. I had to read the very small print to find out I HAD to download an app. Although offering 3 app to chose from, this was an extra step not needed. I also had to do this several times before the app would actually go through and install so it could opened. It took over an hour to do just this. Next, I could not get the fitbit2 to sync up with my computer. I followed all the suggestions and I am still sitting here with a pretty wrist band but not able to get any readout from the fitbit2. I can get into the app's site and put in info , but nothing is coming from the fitbit2. BLue tooth just keeps looping. I looked at the reviews from the windows app, and found out the fit bit flex 2 is not compatible with windows10. They have TRIED to make fixes, but none work correctly at all or if they do, once or twice and then you have to restart the entire procedure again. Several hours later and 4 complete tried with deleting and replacing app I still can not use the fit bit. As you can see in the pic, that is the extent of instructions and size. All the instructions tell you to download the app, the booklet is only safety instructions.
