There's really no comparison when brewing coffee in a stainless steel percolator pot! The taste is far superior then that of an electric coffee maker, and if you enjoy piping-hot coffee as opposed to luke-warm coffee then it's really a no-brainer! You won't be disappointed with this item. Oh and did I mention you can still enjoy your morning coffee if the electricity is out?
It's steel and it's 12 cups, features I wanted. Many were smaller, 8 cups or so. Works fine. I'd rather the top weren't hinge mounted but it's been working as well as one with a removeable top. Very happy with it in any case. Got curious, filled it with water to the 12 cup mark, kept pouring into my cup, the 12 cups turned out to be only 6 cups total. But it was no different from my drip coffee maker, or my electric percolator, or any other coffee maker I've ever had. That's 12 ounces (a cup and a half) per cup filled completely level to the top, or 8 ounces / 1 cup filled to the normal not entirely pretty/mostly full level. Not a huge mug but a good sized common size diner type mug. Anyhow it's the same as all the other coffee makers, just was surprised, thought it'd be 9 or 10 cups, only a couple cups shy.
I love my new Percolator. I haven't had a good cup of coffee in a long time ?? ?? ?? ?? it's so so Goodddd

This takes me back to grandma's kitchen. When the perk starts I can close my eyes and I'm there. Well made and sturdy. Just wish I could find a store with a coffee grinder so I could grind it for perk.

With only 3 months of LIGHT use (only use it on the weekends) the upper part of the handle broke off, got loose. The welding there was very weak, where it had only 3 tiny dots of welding. Not strong or proper enough for the heat when making coffe or washing. If I could I'd return it. And I'd been taking very good care of it.
Absolutely adorable coffee pot but I bought for off-road van and appears it won't travel well. Read reviews re: glass top knob breaking and thought I could remedy by wrapping and storing inside pot but knob is too big to store inside and neck is thin. Funny because knob from the larger stainless camp pot that is out there is sturdier, smaller, and actually stores inside the smaller pot inside it's silicone travel case. Unfortunately knob from larger pot doesn't fit smaller pot.
Only after (9) 8oz. cups of coffee percolated in this new pot purchased on November 26, 2023 glass knob chipped off.
Would be a nice product if made right. Bottom not flat. It rocks violently on my stove. Since I already had it set I stuck a fork underneath to stabilize it. This review won't let me post a video, which I have of it rocking violently, just pictures. So I must assume that they are already aware of the flaw in this coffee pot. Severe safety hazard.! I will be returning.
