Several different leaks in our 16ft round above ground pool after putting it back up after winter storage. Two were substantial and easy to find, not easy to plug. The rest? Impossible to tell. Turned off the pump, removed the filter, poured half a bottle around the pool, turned the pump back on. The next day, our deck was dry. Replaced the filter in the pump, and let it run another day or so. Then we jumped in! Absolutely love this stuff. The two bigger leaks needed to be patched, but they were big enough to see, big enough to patch. Absolutely recommend this to anyone with a vinyl liner and above ground pool.
This product works! I had several pinholes and a couple tears, small tears. Just follow the directions. No more leaks. Keep FIX A LEAK on hand if you have a vinyl liner!
I have an in-ground spa that was leaking about 1-1/2" a day. I bought a 32 ounce bottle of Fix-a-Leak and read the instructions. They were confusing. It said to "adjust the bottom drain" but my drain does not "adjust." So, this is what I did: I removed the filter cartridge. Then I shut OFF/CLOSED my bottom drains so the Fix-a-Leak would not settle on the bottom. I had all the suction going into the skimmer. Then I poured 1/2 a bottle (16 ounces) directly into the skimmer. My spa only leaked about 1/4" before I added the Fix-a-Leak, then it stopped leaking entirely! It's been running for a week now and hasn't leaked at all. This stuff is amazing! I plan on emptying the water out entirely and cleaning the spa before using it again, as recommended. And, of course, putting the filter cartridge back in. I still have 1/2 a bottle of Fix-a-Leak left that I can use in case it starts leaking again in the future. I would highly recommend this product. It did not settle to the bottom while the water was circulating, although I did still brush the spa every couple hours during the day. I let it run for 48 hours initially before turning it off and letting it sit for several days to allow the Fix-a-Leak to set (as recommended by the Leak guy that I paid $300 to find the leak).
It works!! Never thought a water line pipe can be sealed under water but it did. It save me from calling for a professional pool man. I did it with this great product easy to use. I definitely recommended to all pool owners
It worked perfectly for us. no leak after using as directed
this product will in most cases fix small leaks Its not for all leaks but its worth a try rather than taking your spa apart
I have used this product before and when used correctly it does the job.
We did it twice just in case. It DID not work. HARD to clean after that. Used vacum and back wash without the filter. waste tone of water to that, Dont waste your money
DID NOT CURE THE LEAK PROBLEM, FOLLOWED THE DIRECTIONS TO A T, USED A TOTAL OF FOUR BOTTLES OVER TWO APPLICATIONS.
Followed the directions. Did not stop leak. Very disappointed
