Flagpole-To-Go Hitch Mount for Large Diameter Portable Flagpole

I was creating portable scene lighting using a telescoping flag pole - this hitch mount was idea for fast assembly of my portable scene lighting

I was concerned regarding what diameter poles it would accomodate. More that addequate fro my 2 1/4" pole

I have a flag pole with a 2 1/2 inch dia. Every holder I looked at were for 2 inch flag pole. This holder will hold up to a 3 inch flag pole. It's nice looking and well made.

Typical of me I just looked at the photo and not the measurements. I could mount this on the roof of my Jeep and it would look like a missile launcher. Returning for smaller size.

i don't like that it only has 1 set screw won't hold the flagpole tight needs two set bolts not screw hitch is heavy duty don't like one set screw

When the wind is blowing the flag pole is wobbling and the pole lifts off the ground because of play in the receiver this makes the pole to lean to one side some. Also the screw to hole pole in place is not to strong so when tightening the screw seems the threads are not a good match.

The hitch mount flag pole holder is a nice useable hitch pole holder. Unfortunatly (although this was the recommended holder) the pole I purchased with it is somewhat small for the holder. One holder design change I would recommend is to move the retaining screw to the "car side" of the unit so it does not protrude during use and storage.

I have a 2-1/2" inch flagpole and the description says it will fit that size pole. When I received it, it was the exact same size as the pole (2-1/2"), so my pole would not fit down into the holder. If your flagpole is less than 2-1/2" it looks to be a very sturdy mount. I had to return mine and eat the freight to me.
