This is my second flag with Dynamic Brands. I went with the 20" flag this time around and mainly because it has better pieces to hold the flag in place. The older one I had they had the metal pieces that you have to squeeze and pinch to adhere to the flag. So far so good!! Took it out for the first time at the beach and worked great!
Excellent product. I had concerns with it staying in the sand or collapsing on itself, but didn't have any issues. Highly recommend.
TLDR; This is a great, high-quality product that will come in handy for festival goers, tailgaters, or outdoor event enthusiasts. It is well designed, durable, and highly portable. It is worth the money. I bought this a while back for an outdoor tailgating event I was hosting. I was very hesitant to purchase given the price, but after reading some reviews, I decided to buy it. Wow, am I impressed! Let's start with the quality. This thing is exceptionally lightweight yet insanely durable. The twist-and-lock design for raising and lowering different sections of the pole is highly intuitive. The pole raises very high in the air, putting your flag above the masses at a crowded tailgate. The mounting plate is also genius. No digging holes in the ground, no messing with stakes, or worrying about your flag flying away. All you have to do is park on top of the included mounting plate! This is a must-have accessory for tailgates. If you're debating purchasing this item, do it. It is 100% worth it.
This got some rave reviews when I set it up at Phish's Curveball festival (which unfortunately didn't happen) -- but at least the campsite was set up, including the flagpole! Worked with one flag (didn't test two at a time) and was perfect. Windy, but not terribly so, and there wasn't a ton of sway to the pole. I half-expected it to be more windy, so I bought a cheap piece of pipe insulation to put around the base in case the wind caused the pole to smack into the side of my car. It never happened. The height on this thing is pretty awesome. From a ways away, it was easy to spot where my campsite was. (Of course, it helps to have a unique flag, so keep that in mind.) Overall, a worthwhile purchase.
Excellent item. My only suggestion is to add a foam sleeve for the bottom portion like I have seen some others have. It prevents the bottom bar from banging into the side of the vehicle. However, any dollar store pool noodle will work if you're crafty or pipe insulation you can find at a hardware store.
I have had this flag pole fora couple weeks. Just put it up camping yesterday. I have a problem with extending part of the sections. Hope to figure it out. It is what we want for our camper. The 3 x 5 US flag o bought for it has too small of grommets for this flagpole. But I did use wire ties to fasten it. Love the material it is made of , won't rust ( aluminum).
I like that you can fly 2 flags. The attaching system takes some getting used to but is rather simple. Only downsides are the securing bolt can get frozen stuck, and there is no way to lock the flag pole in place. I like to use it to mark the location of my vehicle but feel like I need to take it down when I leave because it is so easily stolen.
This is a lovely set up if you are parked on a hard flat surface but if you are into rustic camping or even just a dirt surface campground it can be nearly impossible to get the holder level enough that your flagpole isn't running into the side of your camper or standing there listing to one side or the other.
Flagpole drops down over time in the wind, not easily locked in place when adjusting height
The flagpole didn't not extend completely. Since it was purchased through a vendor from Walmart.com, it was not eligible for return to the store. I emailed the company (wayfair.com) and shipped it back. Now I'm being charged for shipping. I just paid $13.66 for nothing.
