I turn up my central air to 81 during the day and use this unit to cool my room down. It works really well. It's way better than just a fan. It's not an A/C though. I found out that keep the fan speed on the lower setting helps to radiate more cool air. I put a couple of one gallon pitchers of tap water in the fridge over night and use the ice packs too. It makes this unit work even better.

It's not going to really knock your temp down like a wall unit will..but here in AZ, it's good for adding some cooler humidity to a room during our 115 degree days

it works pretty good. the thing is, u have to constantly put ice in it. i purchased when my a/c went out on a hot day. purchased at least 4 bags of ice per day to keep cool. it only works in one direction so u must be in that space to get cool. it doesnt cool an entire room. maybe if u already have a/c on in the house it wld work for u. it was useful to pull with me room to room as needed. so...in conclusion, id say its fair. once the ice melts it will beep and automatically switch to fan only. you'll see the "cool" indicator turn off

this unit was delivered without the pump shafts so i never got to experience any coolness whatsoever. I have nothing but a fan. I purchased this so-called air cooler in anticipation of the upcoming heatwave that we are experiencing right now and am very disappointed with this product. I wish that I could be compensated for my inconvenience and disappointment for having to endure the heat caused by this failed unit. you can at least replace it with a better unit.

The assembly is the best part. It's easy to put together. The wheels don't roll very well, so it's nice that it's light weight, even with water in the reservoir to the max line. The cooling packs say to fill to the indicated line, but there are no fill lines on the packs. It is not obnoxiously loud while running. Even at night while sleeping, it's not disruptive. The only high-lights are that it's light weight, easy to assemble, and not disruptive. First, I had it in my living room. I thought the area just might be too big for it to do its job sufficiently. I had it in my bedroom overnight, thinking it would keep a much smaller space cooler. There is no difference between having it on or off. The cooling packs don't stay cool or frozen for more than a few hours. I even added a much larger ice pack to the reservoir. The only difference I can feel with it running is the air moving in my bedroom, but it's not any cooler. I'm hoping I am able to return it to get something that's effective, because this item does not serve its purpose.
